Here at LTC the flag is flying for Le***an Visibility Week 2022. It has been a privilege to work with le***an couples over the years. An honour and a privilege.
"Le***an Visibility Week aims to show our solidarity with all LGBTQI woman and non binary people in the community, as well as celebrate le***ans. It is essential that Le***an Visibility Week is a voice for unity and lifts up ALL women, especially those who come from marginalised communities. Recent research (Pride Matters survey, conducted by Pride In London 2018) has shown that gay women are almost twice as unlikely to be out in the workplace as gay male colleagues.
There has been a Le***an Visibility Day since 2008.
Building on this, we want to create a week that recognises, celebrates and importantly supports le***an, bisexual, transgender and q***r women across the UK and beyond to be their true selves at work, at home and socially."

Here at LTC the flag is flying for Le***an Visibility Week 2022. And as we take on board the words of the organising body of LVW, I will be sharing some pictures this week of the amazing le***an couples that it has been a privilege to work with over the years. An honour and a privilege.
And last but definitely by no means least, here are the totally gorgeous Sam and Ellen who have been married almost three years now. Just look at the love and joy on their faces! And I remember the ceremony starting with two dads, bursting with pride as they walked alongside Sam and Ellen. I have to admit to having to swallow a lump in my throat!

Abbey and Sam waited for years due to - well, you know what - but eventually married last October at Dovecote Barn, surrounded by devoted family and friends.
Theirs was a superhero themed wedding and burst through a comic book banner as they left the ceremony space. What an ending!

Beginning here with Jen and Emma, whose wedding took place last weekend at Hyde House, Stow on the Wold.
A beautiful couple, a fantastic crowd - there were shots, readings from Fleabag and Tracey Emin, paw prints to seal the deal. A room filled with love, laughter and tears.

Choose the Celebrant that is right for you.
Choosing your Celebrant isn’t a decision to rush into. Years from now you want to look back with only the fondest memories of your wedding day; your Celebrant is going to be a huge part of that.
It’s important that you feel a connection with your Celebrant; there should be a spark between you all and your personalities and energy should align.
Choose someone to lead your ceremony who has the same beliefs and values as you, or someone that just gets your humour and has you laughing from the first meeting.
If you think that I'm a great fit for your wedding day, why not book a free chat and we'll chat over a cup of tea and a slice of cake.

Want to include some symbolism in your ceremony but not sure how?
Day 3 of the FPC Legacy Challenge is all about what I have learned along my celebrant journey.
Before I even knew that there was such a thing as a wedding celebrant, there were three weddings in my family over a few short years. The first was my beautiful daughter, then there was my own second time around wedding and last, but never least, my amazing son.
We all chose a civil ceremony and we all had a registrar to carry it out. And guess what? All three ceremonies were basically the same. Okay, we all had different readings and music but other than that ......
So the things that I love learning about are the symbolic rituals that can be included in a wedding ceremony. Which ones suit different couples? Or different venues? What twist can we put on the Unity candle ceremony to make it right for Sophie and Simon? And different to the one we did for Maggie and John? Can we invent something new for Ellen and Sam? What can we include from the different cultures of Raff and Hayley?
And every ceremony leads me to more exciting wedding traditions, more ideas in my creative bank, ready to share with you to make your ceremony just awesome.
Take a look in the comments to see what I would now add to those family ceremonies, knowing what I do now.
To get your awesome ceremony started, why not give me a call, send me a message, email me.

~~ SWEET AND SIMPLE WEDDING PACKAGE ~~
Legally married but feeling like you missed out on a wedding? Does that describe you?
Maybe you grabbed the chance to get legally married during the restrictions? Maybe you went ahead with your original date even though your numbers were severely restricted? Maybe you intended to celebrate later with all your family and friends around you?
Maybe you want more than just a party? You want them all to witness a wedding?
Just this week I have had a number of enquiries from couples in this situation, but the stumbling block? More expense!!
So, I've put together my Sweet and Simple Package. Still a wedding ceremony. Still some personalisation. Still about you. Still prepared and delivered with tenderness and emotion. Just simpler.
At almost half my normal fee, the Sweet and Simple can be booked for "sequel weddings" in September, October and November only this year.
If you're interested and you fit the description above, then email me [email protected] and we'll chat.
🤖🤖 One for all you Star Wars fans. 🤖🤖
I've never yet been asked to craft a themed wedding ceremony - Star Wars or any other theme.
I've seen plenty of weddings with a theme carrying through all other areas - Jane Austin, Harry Potter, warehouse rave, - but when it comes to the ceremony my couples go for adding their own quirkiness to a fairly traditional set up.
Did you go for an all out theme? Tell us all about it
Would you go for an all out theme? What would yours be?
Want to be my first? I'm up for a challenge! Try me.
#fpccelebrants #starwarswedding #maythefourth #proudtobefpc
From Monday I will be able to start meeting couples to chat weddings in outdoor hospitality settings. Think coffee shop, pub garden, or sitting in a park with a takeaway.
Getting back to the part of my job I love, love, love. Meeting people - actually meeting them - and getting so excited about their wedding ceremony plans.
My diary has actual plans in it again and iIcan not wait!
If you want to find out more about working with a celebrant - this celebrant - on your wedding team, then an actual meeting would be our first step towards that awesome ceremony.
I still have some availability for September onwards this year and for 2022, which is filling up fast. A message or email will start the ball rolling.

Will I ever tire of hearing proposal stories? I don't think so!
Day 2 of the #fpcvalentinelove challenge is all about these stories, given that Valentine's day is one of the most popular days for that question to be popped!
I've heard of lots that have been brilliantly staged, everything just so, and yet this is one of my favourites.
A spur of the moment proposal that took them both by surprise. Brunch at home and a sudden light bulb moment - this is the person they couldn't bear to not have in their lives for ever. Here comes the question. But what shall we use for a ring?
I'm not making this up, folks, off came the little plastic tie from the bread. You know, the one with the best before date on? Took a deep breath, sat on the sofa, wrapped it round their finger and asked the question.
There were tears, there was laughter, there was a "Yes!" They replaced the plastic (which they've kept safe) with a proper ring. And now their wedding rings have that date engraved inside them, a forever reminder.
Only you will know what's right for you - grand gestures, intimate dinner, sunset walk or simply over breakfast. But what will you do for a ring?
And if it happens this weekend, get in touch and tell me all about it and I'll tell you how having a celebrant led ceremony will be the best decision you could make.
