HOW EARLY SHOULD WE BOOK A PLANNER// I often get asked when should we book a planner.

The answer I give is it depends on the level of support and help you require with your wedding planning.

I work with couples from the initial planning stages from venue finding and sourcing the team of suppliers, to couples who have planned their wedding and require assistance for the final month and on the day management.

There is no right time to book a planner it depends on you as a couple and when you need the support and assistance.

As a guide most of my full plan weddings book me between 6 and 9 months before the wedding, although some couples plan from 12 to 18 months in advance. This can because of a venue, specific date or guests travelling international. Wedding day management can be booked as close as 8/6 weeks before the wedding although more often between 3 to 6 months before. The closest I have had a full plan book is 8 weeks.

WEDDING DAY MANAGEMENT
Also known as On The Day Co-Ordination.

You have planned your perfect day, bought together your dream team of suppliers. Now you want to relax and enjoy the lead up to your wedding without the stress of final details and how you will bring all your hard work and vision for your day to life.

My Wedding Day Management packages are the perfect solution. We arrange a final planning meeting up to 8 weeks before your wedding ideally at your venue. We talk through all of your plans, suppliers and your vision for the day and put together a final to do list.

Following the meeting I put together a detailed schedule for the final few weeks and the Wedding Day. I send an email to all of your suppliers introducing myself and confirming going forward I will be the main point of contact. I will also produce a detailed schedule and plan for the day.

On the day itself I will be the first to arrive, greet your suppliers, ensure they have everything they need to get set up. It’s then all systems go to get your reception and welcome set and ready, ensure the ceremony is all set up and ready. All of this will be happening behind the scenes whilst you are enjoying time with family and friends before the ceremony and the fun of the reception.

Remember you are both the VIP’S of your wedding day.

A Book Lovers Wedding

As it’s World Book Day and I have been lucky enough to have worked at amazing venues, but in keeping with the theme of the day I thought it would be lovely to share two beautiful wedding venues perfect for book lovers.

Did receive a Christmas Proposal?

Huge congratulations to you both and what a lovely time of year to celebrate with family and friends.

Now to announce your amazing news. Your news will travel fast once people find out so you need to decide how to tell everyone.

Traditionally you tell your families first. Both sets of parents should be the first to hear and in person if possible. Followed by immediate family and close friends, you may not be able to see everyone in person, a phone call, FaceTime, Text or Group Email announcing your news will be ideal.

Once those in your close circle have been told you can then spread the news on Social Media.

You do not have tell anyone immediately and wish to take you time to make your announcements., whilst you soak up the news yourselves and enjoy time together just the two of you. Arrange visits to family and friends to share the news in person and for those further a field, you may wish to send a Card to Announce your Engagement.

Once you have shared your news informally, a formal announcement can be made in the local paper or a national paper, usually the Daily Telegraph or The Times.

Remember this is Your News to Share.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

It really is a lovely time but it’s also when we are at our busiest. With presents to buy and wrap, trips out to see friends, Christmas parties, visiting family or them visiting you, cooking, work deadlines before everyone finishes for the Christmas and New Year break.

Winter Wedding Vibes

Winter weddings are a different kind of magic, to those in the warmer months of the year.

We think of winter as a time to be warm, relaxed, enjoying good food and times with family and friends. And your wedding could be all of these things.

Imagine your ceremony by candlelight, glasses of mulled wine to keep you warm during the photographs, tables laden with rich coloured flowers, stunning greenery and candles. Sumptuous food to share and enjoy.

The one thing most couples do not worry so much about in the winter is the weather. With twinkling lights, roaring fires, deep rich colours and candlelight. plans are in place to capture amazing photographs whatever the weather.

It’s been a tech issue kind of day.

Oh crumbs sums it up very well.

A couple of people contacted me because my emails had been bouncing back.

Currently I am not receiving or able to send emails and this issue has also affected Calendly and discovery calls are not able to be booked.

I have contacted Microsoft who are looking into the issue and hopefully this can be resolved quickly.

I love bringing my couples plans to life. And with being their Wedding Day Co-Ordinator I bring all the planning the couple have done over many months to reality.

How does on the day co-ordination work? You as the couple will have planned your perfect day bringing together your own dream team of suppliers. My role starts from 6 weeks before your wedding day, we will have a planning meeting, following from this I will then contact all of your suppliers and confirm final details set-up and breakdown for the day. A comprehensive wedding day schedule. I will be the main point of contact for the suppliers, giving you the time to enjoy the lead up to your wedding and the day it’s self. Working with your suppliers we bring all of your plans together to bring to life your wedding.

The last couple of weeks have been amazing. With marquee weddings and historic property weddings we really are in the middle of weddding season.

These two styles of venues couldn’t be more different when it comes to wedding planning and management on the day. But both require expert logistics management and detailed co-ordination. And I love both. Marquee requires detailed consideration of where to site the marquee, wet weather planning for build and on the day, guest parking and access the same for suppliers, do we have enough power and toilets. With and historic property of which I have worked with many all have there own rules and restrictions which need to be considered early on when planning a wedding at one, these rules are there to ensure the property is preserved but also to ensure a fabulous wedding day for the couple.

Good Evening Everyone

You may have noticed a few changes going on today.

Whilst it’s a busy wedding season, I have started a re-brand of the business.

This includes new name, this is not ground breaking, my previous name caused lots of confusion so going forward the business will simply be my name.

All of my social media accounts have been re-branded and named today.

There will be a new website. Due to time of year this may take a little time to complete, due to the wedding season but I didn’t want to hold back on the changes until the website was ready.

Wedding Laws are Changing

From the 1st July 2021 until April 2022 the Government/ministry of justice have relaxed the rules on Outdoor Ceremonies.

Venues which already have a Weddings and Civil Partnership License will be a permitted from the 1st July to hold outdoor ceremonies without the need for a Permanent Structure.

It is hoped that this new change will continue after April and part of the reforms to our Marriage Laws.

Why have they done this?
The restrictions on guests numbers outside are more flexible and mean couples can have more guests in attendance at the ceremony.
