I love working with couples providing On the Day Co-Ordination who have booked a dry hire wedding venue.

I really like Dry Hire venues and no two weddings are the same from table set up, styling and using the space. You really can create your own wedding.

There is a But however, dry hire venues do require more planning, my quick guide gives and overview of what you will need to consider and questions to ask during the planning.

This guide can also be used if you are having a marquee wedding.

Good Morning and welcome to a new month.

September is my one of my favourite months of the year. I love everything about September the weather, the light and the feeling, it feels like a new beginning, some describe it as a second new year.

September is usually a busy month with events and this one promises to be no different with me heading to Scotland later this for an event at the weekend.

Have a lovely day x

Epic Weekend Done!

After nearly 300 hundred miles travelled I am just catching up on emails today and a happy heart. I really do love what I do.

It all started on Friday with a wedding ceremony and drinks reception in St Albans.

Following break down and clean up I made my way to the beautiful Malvern Hills for a wedding celebration.

The journey home from Malvern took me through the beautiful Cotswolds.

Unfortunately I am not able to share any photographs from either event but I can assure you both were beautiful and full of love and happiness.

Have a lovely Bank Holiday Monday x

My latest blog looks continuing trends for 2025 and what new trends will see going into 2026.

Whilst looking at trends are great and give a sense of what we think our clients will looking for when planning there wedding. Couples today are looking for an individual and unique experience which is about them and creating a guest experience that will be talked about for months and years to come.

Are you a wedding guest this summer? If so this post is for you!

Yesterday I was reminded of the importance of switching my phone off. It wasn’t a wedding but my son’s sports day, No Phones where Allowed.

Everyone was present at sports days watching and cheering the children on, not just their own but those who fought to get to the finish line. No hiding behind the screen capturing a moment instead of being in the moment.

You have been invited to celebrate the wedding of your friends or family. The couple truly want you to be at their wedding and be fully present especially at the ceremony.

The couple will have booked an amazing photographer and videographer to capture the every moment of the ceremony from when the bride enters the ceremony. Unless you have been asked to take photos or video, you don’t need your phone.

Hiding behind your phone you miss the moments you are there for. The first time the groom sees his bride, I still cry even today after all the weddings I have worked on. The vows, the exchanging of rings, the waking back up the aisle now a married couple.

The photographer will thank you, as they look down the aisle and see everyone watching and not phone screens.

Oh and just on the point of the photographer, they are there to do a job and capture the day. If they have just set up a shoot please wait until the photographer has finished before take your own picture.

No Hiding Behind Phones be Truly Present and Enjoy Every Moment In Real Life!

It’s today!

In celebration of today I thought I would share a dessert my husband created when we ran our event catering business.

I am sharing a Chocolate Truffle Torte with a Salted Caramel Centre and a Chocolate Collar (all made in-house).

One of our most popular desserts

A snapshot of what I do as a Wedding Planner and also what I don’t do!

1. Bring together an A Team of Suppliers
2. Be the Queen of Spreadsheets
3. Creating an epic Timeline
4. Have a Kit Bag any Soldier would be proud of
5. The one on hand with a knowing smile, for a tissue or a hug

What I do not do as a Wedding Planner

1. Be your florist - I know amazing florists who will create the flowers of your dreams
2. Be your photographer - I will be taking pictures but I can promise you we need a professional, me and my iPhone are only okay for some BTS and not the wall
3. Be your cake maker - I make a mean Chocolate Brownie but that’s my limit
4. Be your DJ - We want the party to be a highlight of the day
5. Be your Celebrant - The reason everyone has come together for your wedding day to see you get married. Lets make it special!

Wedding Planning and On the Day Co-Ordination is a job on its own and not something that can be bolted on in addition. We are the first to arrive and the last to leave with one mission to make your wedding day amazing.

You have hired suppliers for their expertise and experience and you want all of your suppliers to be focused on there area of expertise.

It may seem easier to have less suppliers and it may be cheaper to use supplier you have already booked who offer a “bolt on” service. But as a Wedding Planner I am fully focused on the day overseeing what needs to be done to achieve the results you are expecting. We are there to answer questions and assist as required to make the day run as planned so if the caterer has a question, the florist needs directions or the DJ needs to know where he needs to bring his van to unload! we are there without worrying we won’t have finished our original role that you actually hired us for!

I was invited last Friday to visit in the Surrey Hills.

What a stunning venue. Beaverbrook has an amazing history and is now an amazing hotel. With lovely facilities for all the family.

However I think I may have found the most ideal venue for your intimate or micro wedding. With outstanding accommodation across the estate.

The orangery is located within the main house and can seat up to 70 guests for a wedding breakfast. It is also licensed for wedding ceremonies up to 70. However it would be ideal for smaller numbers.

If you have up to 24 guests they have the most perfect dining experience for you and your guests at the WildKitchen, available all year round and with a choice of menus.

There are other private dining experiences across the estate if you are thinking of a multi day celebration.

I have selected a few of the pictures but I think I may have to write a blog as it was very hard to select.

Planning a wedding drop me a DM and let’s talk.
