Morning everyone, we hope you are all well, and have been enjoying the better weather this week, unfortunately the colder weather of late has had a massive impact on the flower market….colder cloudy wet weather here and across Central Europe has kept demand high for flowers but the supply is low and hasn’t managed to keep up, resulting in exceptional prices of late, anyone that follows us knows this happens from time to time…normally around big events..but never in June!! All the time we was away all we kept thinking was thank goodness we’re not working, but still nothing has changed..it’s actually got worse….speaking to our Dutch flower traders, they don’t expect it to change much in the next 3-4 weeks, and the growers won’t change much whilst they are getting good price returns through the auctions, so we’re done prematurely for the summer and will see you as normal in mid/late September… sometimes when we write these posts we wonder if we should just finish altogether, but we’re not there yet and love doing what we do, and love you all!! and as you know it’s a hobby, our Monday to Friday jobs pay the bills….have a great summer and safe travels if your going away…
Lots of love as always Paul Kim and Evie ###
