Today we took delivery of some beautiful posies donated to us by Lily and Myrtle. Thank you we love them. They were placed on the Bistro tables and around our lodges. One of their employees volunteers with us.

Welcome to Lily & Myrtle’s Surrey based Flower School and Shop. Nestled deep in the Victorian walled garden of The Medicine Garden in Cobham. Our old stable settling has been transformed into a creative space to run our popular floristry courses and home to our flower workroom and shop. Kate Lamport, Owner and Creative Director has over 30 years experience of running the school at the famous London Floristry school of Jane Packer, alongside running the teaching for over 8 years, Kate then went on to run all of Jane’s London based businesses. After 12 fabulous years with Jane Packer, Kate then set up her Surrey based couture florist, providing corporate flowers to the likes of Foxhills Club & Resort, Burhill Golf Club and the Mandalay Hotel to name a few. Over the years Kate has been featured in many glossy magazines including OK!, hello and been chosen for many a photo shoot not to mention celebrity weddings. Kate has done it all with creativity and love. Her passion for all things flora and fauna just runs in her blood, being the descendant of John Gould Veitch the famous botanical plant hunter and James Veitch, founder of the Veitch horticulture dynasty, 2019 sees Kate open her first home to her already very popular Flower School, at The Medicine Garden, Cobham. Here will become home to Lily & Myrtle’s first Surrey Flower School, providing full and half day courses as well as private tuition and bespoke classes for groups, hen parties, ‘special birthday’s’ or just friends wanting to learn just how beautiful flowers are. Courses will run throughout the year. Keep your eyes peeled for dates. The Shop & Work Room which will adjoin the Flower School will be home to all manner of treats, from hand-tied bouquets, the lonely bouquets, and seasonal flowers, plants and beautiful accessories for your home - everything is for sale!
