People often ask me what happens to the flowers after the wedding?
Well I always return the following morning and pack up the flowers in paper or boxes for the family to take home.
To be honest I buy the flowers a few days before the event to make sure they are open and looking their best on the day so there is usually only a couple of days of life left especially in a hot summer!
If you wish to preserve the bride’s bouquet then it is essential to have a vase ready on the day for the bouquet when the photos are finished.

I have been off grid for awhile working on other floral projects and attending weddings! But normal service is now resumed with three gorgeous weddings coming up for the next three weeks. Looking forward to arranging
these with the first one having the ceremony in the woodland .
This heat although gorgeous to have does bring its challenges for the florist. It takes a little more careful planning but with experience it won’t be a problem to me.🤞🏻

Some people have a dog to keep them company or a cat to sit with them while doing the paperwork but I have Lucky. She loves the company while I work out my flower lists for the next three weeks weddings.

What a ‘joy’ it was to do Joy and Iain’s wedding. Joy’s dream was to be married in a bluebell wood with a simple brief of blue and white with mainly mixed foliage. Luckily the bluebell season started last week, thank you God, and it couldn’t have been a better day. She made the very wise choice of having too and Chloe treats us all to magnificent bacon sandwiches while we work. What could be better! Some days I really love my job 💙

What a joy to do the flowers for this adorable couple Bel and Ryan last month. Here are some stunning photos by photographer Laura . Thanks so much for sending them to me, as a florist we never get to see the end results as we are out the door before all the fun begins. Bel had such a gorgeous dress and I made flowers to complement for her beautiful long hair to finish the look.

A ‘wedding’ done in a previous March when a marquee with a clear roof went from freezing in the snow to boiling when the sun came out. They can be tricky!!
