DECOR PART 2…

How amazing did barn look for this amazing Autumn wedding ?

Full-on Autumn vibes 🍁🍁
The couple spent many hours creating the fantastic bunting that hung across the beams, as well as the cute paper lamps that adorned the guest tables. 🫶

So much hard work, but it definitely paid off.

The centrepieces were designed to be a little different from the norm, and I absolutely loved creating them! 🙌

The log slices ensured we kept to the rustic/Autumn vibe, along with pine cones, and Autumn leaves. The cylinders added the romantic lighting ..
We could have left it there, but we decided to create something a bit special!

I used pebbles at the base of the cylinders with birch twigs coming up through the centre. Once filled with water, the birch twigs were completely immersed and looked so lovely! Pop a floating candle on top and voila!

THE DECOR.. PART 1

From Alex & Claire’s wedding last November.

We had a distinct Autumn theme in terms of colour . Tonal reds, burgundy, and pops of orange.
Plenty of pine cones, berries and faux Autumn leaves were added to get a full Autumn vibe.
The couple added lots of their own hand-made decor pieces too. Which was super lovely 🫶
More on that in the next post!

The type of arrangement pictured suits a round top table perfectly. And can of course be made in your own colour scheme . 🙌

A number of my Brides this year have asked for something more smaller and simpler for their Bridesmaids flowers.

This works particularly well if you have quite a few Bridesmaids as you would still have visual impact in the photos, plus it’s cost effective !
As we have a cheaper range for a single/ few flowers.
Single or just a few stems with a little foliage seems to be a popular choice. With some ribbon tails, this can look lovely! 🫶

In the pic above, Laura’s Bridesmaid is holding a few stems: Blush Rose, Magenta Anemone, Red Rose and burgundy Hellebore. With these flowers we managed to have the whole colour Palette in a small amount of flowers! 🙌We added two different varieties of Eucalyptus stems

We used beautiful a deep burgundy satin fur the ribbon tails

Simple , but still lovely! If you are likely to be having a higher number of Bridesmaids

SIMPLICITY..

Guest table centrepieces can be big, bold and elaborate, but Simple, elegant centrepieces can look just as good.

For these centrepieces my couple had their own candies that they wanted to use for some soft & romantic lighting. We supplied two of our stem/bud vases to add that pop of colour and to bring the colour theme through the decor.

We managed in just those two vases to include all the colours used throughout, Red, Burgundy and Magenta softened with a beautiful blush.

I loved this colour scheme. Don’t be scared to play with colour if that is what you love. If it doesn’t work, Il let you know! 😊

If you are going to have a ceremony/top table arrangement, make it a real feature, a beauty!

L&Ps idea for their wedding was to have a hint of valentines, (as it was February after all!) without being too feminine so we added moodier tones of Magenta, burgundy, purples with a splash of the blush (rather than a starker white) just to break up those darker tones.

Loved the finished arrangement. What do you think.. Did we nail the brief?

A February wedding with a romantic but slightly ‘moody’ valentines vibe!

Dark reds, Burgundy, purples and blush. Stunning colour palette to work with! ❤️

Using just a few floral arrangements we were able to repurpose and move these around from ceremony to wedding breakfast set up.

Swipe across to see the set up for the sweetheart table. With the candles (provided by the client) it created a beautiful and romantic vibe.

If you are struggling with deciding on who should be on your top table, a sweetheart table for just the two of you is a great option! 🙌

The beautiful Bride..

Laura looking absolutely beautiful !

The bouquet with its moody valentines vibe was such a lovely colour palette to work with.

The couple were eager to have just a little of a lean towards valentines as this was a February wedding, but not too pinky/red.

Instead we added dark Fuchsia, Burgundy, and purple tones to the more classic red. Then to soften the overall feel we opted for a lovely blush which I absolutely loved! Such a gorgeous colour palette to work with! ❤️🫶

The beautiful Bride..

The bouquet followed through a theme of what myself & Laura named
‘Moody Valentines” ❤️❤️

My couple wanted a hint of Valentines as this was a February wedding, but not too girly, nothing too ‘pinky’ and not too ‘in-your-face’ Valentines.

We opted for some darker purples and deep burgundy tones combined with a classic red.
To soften the overall look we added just a touch of blush.

I absolutely loved the finished colour palette.
And.. I think we definitely nailed a Moody Valentines vibe! 🫶

Let’s not forget the boys!

Cute Boutonnières for this October wedding.

I’m finding that a lot of the Grooms lately, are preferring a much smaller boutonniere. With some extra smaller elements.

The Grooms boutonniere contained, a small champagne Rose, pair pink Waxflower & buds, pale blue Linum and a cute small navy blue thistle.

We decided on a half-stem finish in a matching navy satin to match the pastel/navy blue colour scheme.

THE BOUQUET.. for Shelley 🫶

A medium bouquet in a pastel palette and created in a lovely garden style and including some gorgeous faux blooms!

Beautiful peachy/pink David Austen Olivia Roses steal the show alongside, Lilac budding Hydrangea, Real touch lilac Rose buds, Linum, cream/ champagne Roses & spray roses, pale pink Physostegia.
We also added a little Blossom as this was a favourite of the Brides, and as the overall colour theme was pastels & navy blue. We included some super cute navy thistles.

Premium Eucalyptus & variegated Pittosporum were chosen to complement the flower choices. Stems were filed & glued and to finish the stems.. a lovely deep navy satin ribbon wrap. 🫶

I loved working with such a gorgeous colour palette.. ❤️

DECOR..

Christmassy but not TOO Christmassy.

The remit for the decor, was to have a Christmas feel without being TOO Christmassy.

had a beautiful tree up which already created the Christmas vibe.

D&J didn’t want the conventional reds or whites for Christmas, so instead we chose a beautiful dusky pink (to give the warmth ) with ivory and just a little pale pink & blush.

To help with a slightly Christmassy vibe, we used Cypress as our base for out table swag but added blush berries, mini pine cones and pale pink Helkebore, understated bit oh so cute’ I also added some preserved Eucalyptus to give us that lovely scent.

The table centrepieces also had a Christmas feel with preserved Eucalyptus on a log slice with added pine cones & berries.Larger frosted pine cones were placed around the base.

Central to this was the beautiful glass cylinder vases with large floating candles .. adding a touch of elegance.

Would it surprise you to know that every berriy spray, pine cone, flower & preserved Eucalyptus stem was individually wired on to the Eucalyptus to stop it moving about it falling on the floor.
It was a labour of love, but definitely worth it! 🙌👌
