S & R’s wedding day was a beautiful balance of timeless romance and joyful celebration. 🌿✨

The ceremony began with statement urns. Modern yet classic, bringing a sense of elegance and tradition that worked seamlessly with the venue’s character. It was a setting that felt refined, romantic, and perfectly in tune with the moment.

For the reception, we shifted gears and embraced colour, fun, and a touch of the unexpected. Playful, vibrant blooms were paired with exotic fruits, creating a feast-like tablescape that felt abundant, elegant, and full of personality, just like S & R. You know what I honestly love the most about working with clients?

The designing part and seeing everything come to life is amazing, BUT my favourite bit has to be the consultation stage. Sitting down, hearing what my clients want, and letting all those exciting ideas flood in and feeling the buzz💛

Dreaming up a concept they’ll love, then delivering it and hearing, “Wow, this is even more than we expected.” Floristry isn’t just about playing with flowers, It’s about the creativity and vision that starts long before a single stem is in your hands🌸

Our clients trust our ideas and expertise to craft designs that set the tone for their day, elevating spaces and bringing their wedding vision to life where it matters most. And believe it or not, even as florists who absolutely adore flowers, we do think it’s possible to go overboard. Many of our clients invest in stunning venues, and sometimes we believe certain spaces are best left just as they are!

That said, there are often areas that need a little something extra to carry the vibe seamlessly throughout the venue. We make sure every location that needs a touch of our clients’ personality is styled with intention. Guests should never step out of one space and feel as though they’ve left the wedding behind, it’s about creating clever pathways, both big and small, that connect the day together. Because in the end, every detail should reflect that the day belongs entirely to our clients.

💌 I want to thank everyone over the past couple of weeks who has reached out and checked in on me after I shared a little insight into my recent investment working with a business mentor in the wedding industry. It’s been overwhelming to see how many of my words have resonated with others, and I’m so grateful to those who wanted to hear my story.

As many of you know, I never took maternity leave after having either of my children. This business has always been something I do very much for me, they say do your hobby for a living and you’ll never work a day in your life. It has carried me through the challenges (and joys) of motherhood, but beyond that, I do it for my family and for the wonderful clients I adore working with.

When I first considered this mentoring programme, some of you will remember the lengths and sacrifices I made to invest, believing it would be the right step forward for me and my family. My hope was to gain another perspective on my business, support with mindset when needed, and perhaps some guidance through industry connections.

However, my personal experience of the programme hasn’t aligned with those expectations. For me, it didn’t feel like the right fit, and I decided not to continue. One thing I realised along the way is that I didn’t want to feel like just another “name on a list” of successes attributed to someone else. The achievements I’m proud of are the result of my own hard work and sacrifices, and I want them to reflect my journey, not simply be credited elsewhere.

That was a really difficult choice, especially after such a big financial commitment, but one I felt was right for me and for my vision of Primrose Avenue.

Many people have asked whether I’ve been able to recover the investment and while of course it would be wonderful to put that money towards family memories or even my own wedding, the reality has been more complicated.

I’m sharing this not to criticise anyone personally, but to be open about my own journey. If my story helps even one other creative feel less alone in navigating these kinds of decisions, then it’s worth it. 💛
