The next takeaway will be…’Small Plates’

~Friday 25th April~

With a tempting selection of eight sharing dishes to reheat and pop in the middle of the table (think tapas or cicchetti), plus a firm favourite dessert which is rich and satisfying but also not toooo heavy at the end of your feast.

1. Serrano ham croquetas (banging Barrafina recipe)
2. Creamy mushrooms with sherry, garlic & parsley
3. Smoked paprika garlic chicken breast, sriracha mayo
4. Feta harrisa filo ci**rs
5. Sticky baby bangers baked with wholegrain mustard, honey, rosemary and Worcestershire sauce
6. Garlic butter hasselback potatoes
7. Baby gem salad with shaved Grana Padano and zingy dressing (served separately) and optional marinated anchovies (recommended!)
8. Rosemary sea salt focaccia for dipping and mopping

And for dessert…
White chocolate and raspberry unbaked cheesecake, white chocolate ganache, raspberry sauce

Did you know you can order my beautiful, bright, healthy nourish bowls for your next event?

✨Just £9 each
✨Minimum order ten
✨Comes with little separate pots of dressing as well as flatbreads to ensure a proper fill
✨Vegetarian, vegan, nut free and gluten free available
✨Add marinated chicken breast for £3
✨Add poached salmon fillet for £3.50
✨Contents may differ slightly from the photos but they will ALWAYS contain a bright, rainbow mix of fresh crudités, a couple of falafels, avocado, maybe some balsamic-roasted butternut squash, perhaps some lightly curried lentils, nuts and seeds, feta, pulses, olives and leaves…basically whatever looks good that day.

A lot of you replied to last night’s story and said you’d love to order the afternoon tea boxes again this year. They’re a lovely way of treating the important ladies in your life. Eat in the comfort of your own home, at your own pace, with a boxful of delicious bits and bobs which you can return to throughout the day.

Available for collection from WV6 9AP between 11am and 1pm on Sunday 30th March:

🌷A selection of delicate finger sandwiches and mini rolls
🌷Mini scones, preserves and clotted cream
🌷Two full size chocolate cupcakes
🌷Two mini Victoria sponge cakes
🌷Two lemon possets
🌷French macarons
🌷Treats and chocolates
🌷Two premium English breakfast teabags
🌷Fresh fruits
🌷All in a lovely white box, decorated with pretty spring flowers and proper ribbon

Each box will serve two very generously and is £45.

Quite a few of you who missed out on the Valentine’s takeaway have asked for one in March ☺️

I’ve got several gluten free customers amongst you, so this one can be completely GF if needed.

Starters:
Extra mature cheddar and cauliflower soup with local sourdough
OR
Smoked mackerel pâté with pickled cucumber and toasts

Mains:
Slow-cooked boeuf bourguignon with smoked bacon
OR
Chestnut and portobello mushroom bourguignon

Both with creamy gratin dauphinois and buttered carrots with thyme and honey

Desserts:
The favourite lemon posset (customers often mention it afterwards!) with strawberry sauce
OR
Rich dark chocolate mousse with caramel fudge

Both served with sugar cookies.

£25 per person. Can be completely GF if needed, just let me know. Please note that I work from a home kitchen and use all common allergens all the time so I cannot guarantee a 100% lack of cross contamination. Grazing can be a clever and slightly cheaper way of catering for numbers at an event. It gives you tonnes of choice to suit every guest; it looks beautiful, bright and tempting; and it can be returned to throughout the evening.

And I always bulk it out with my homemade savouries - think mini sausage rolls, little pizzas, pesto and feta palmiers, along with local artisan breads and absolutely loads more.

I don’t do flat lays as they’re not for me personally; I prefer to mix it up on different heights, but the idea is much the same…

If you’ve got a wedding coming up and love the idea of serving your family and friends local, lovingly-made food, then get in touch.

Cheshire cheese savouries

Tiny Parmesan & rosemary shortbreads with salsa romesco & feta

🤍Starter:
Smoked salmon pâté with dill and lemon, king prawn, caperberry, crostini
OR
Goat’s cheese tartlet made with buttery slow-cooked onions and rosemary, topped with a wodge of bûche de chèvre, served with leaves and separate dressing (vegetarian)

🤍Bread:
Local artisan sourdough with basil, Parmesan & tomato whipped butter

🤍Main:
Roasted Parma ham-wrapped chicken breast with creamy white wine sauce made with soft herbs & Dijon mustard
OR

Starters:
-Filo-wrapped baked feta with spiced honey and thyme, served with a little tomato and mint compôte
OR
-Smoked trout and asparagus tartlet with lemon and a hint of horseradish, served with salad leaves and separate dressing

Mains:
-Venison pie with cheddar puff lid - sustainable venison steak, slow-cooked with lots of herbs, red wine and smoked bacon and topped with a double-layered puff pastry lid with oozing extra mature cheddar in the middle
OR
-Roasted butternut squash, chestnut and goats cheese individual wellington (vegetarian), made with garlic, wild mushrooms, white wine, sage and a hint of truffle. Autumn on a plate.

Both served with:
-Golden herb-roasted baby potatoes
-Buttered carrots with honey and thyme

Desserts/Cheese:
-Triple chocolate layered cheesecake with chocolate ganache, caramel fudge and pouring cream
OR
-Spiced autumn apple crumble, made with toasted pecans, cinnamon and Demerara sugar and served with crème chantilly flavoured with rum and vanilla
OR
-Mini cheeseboard graze box, with crackers, chutney, celery, grapes, smoked almonds, candied pecans and more (£3pp supplement)

For every takeaway meal ordered @ £23 per person, I’ll donate £2 to The Trussell Trust, which supports a network of food banks and provides emergency food to people locked in poverty. I’ve felt for a while that I’d like to try and give a little tiny bit back, so let’s do this! By ordering this time you’re feeding yourself as well as others who so need it. Let’s see how much we can raise!
