Chillington Hall is a Grade One listed stately home in South Staffordshire. Standing at the heart of a 4000 acre Estate, Chillington is privately owned by the Giffard family, who have been here since 1178. The Hall and its grounds may be hired for special celebrations, events, filming or educational activities. We also open to the public on certain occasions and for events throughout the year, and

caused substantial damage across the Chillington Estate over the weekend, we have estimated 100-200 trees are down, some of which are ancient Oak trees which are hundreds of years old. The grounds team have been busy over the weekend chopping and clearing.

Have you put your up yet? It takes the team at a whole week to decorate the Hall, and that doesn't include the 'big' tree which is 15ft tall and is decorated by Mr & Mrs Giffard and their children. There are boxes upon boxes of decorations and ornaments- some are very old and extremely fragile. Heres a snapshot of the ornament box.... 🎄

Chillington Hall is proud to welcome and to the Park for its 4th year running to hold the 🏇 Ethos Chillington Hall Regional Youth Championship🏇 on Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th September for grassroots riders at BE80 and BE90 levels bringing a real sense of occasion to the lower levels of the sport.

Spectators are welcome to come free of charge to come and watch Dressage (starts 8am both days), Show Jumping (starts 8.40am both days) and Cross Country (starts 9.30am both days) and support our fabulous young competitors.

There will be a few equine related trade stands here on the day and there are some food and beverage providers too.

Please note the grounds are open for walking but the public only have access to the areas set aside for the event. Well behaved dogs on SHORT leads are welcome to come too.

Welcome to Chillington Hall's official page. Chillington Hall is a stunning grade 1 listed stately home on the Shropshire/Staffordshire borders. Set in over 4000 acres the Chillington Estate is privately owned by the Giffard family, who have been here since 1178. The Hall is available to hire as a venue, to hold Wedding Receptions, private celebrations, corporate events, photo shoots, film location or you can even hire the beautiful Capability Brown landscaped park for an outdoor event. The Hall and grounds are open to the public 28 days of the year (see website for dates/times), but we can also do private guided tours for groups. Each tour is individually tailored to the groups interests, so if you are interested in architecture, family history, art or furniture design we have something here to interest you.
