🎶 Skill Spotlight: counting & rhythm 🎶🔢

At diddi dance, we believe in more than just steps — we teach children how to feel the music and understand the beat. Our Counting Song is more than a tune — it’s a key tool in helping young dancers grow.

Saying “1‑2‑3‑4” helps little dancers line up their moves with the music, so they don’t just move, they move in time.

Rhythm training (clapping, tapping, marching) builds coordination, motor control, and spatial awareness.

Understanding patterns in music translates beyond dance — it supports early math, language, and pattern recognition.

When kids internalise counting, they gain confidence in exploring more complex moves, transitions, and styles.

Today was another day for a fabulous diddi dance birthday party out and about 🥳✨🙌🏼
This time I helped my little Superstar friend Maggie and her guests celebrate her upcoming 5th birthday 🎈5️⃣🎉 they were all amazing!!

Something we already know a lot about at diddi dance 🥰 but don't just take it from us, here's what the experts say about the benefits of dancing with your little one 💃🏼🕺🏼

Dancing is great for babies, it helps with their coordination, bonding and brain function. It also helps them start to learn words too.
