Starters

Prosciutto and Parmesan asparagus rolls served with horseradish creme freshe and salad garnish .

Mains

Fillet of beef Wellington
With creamed and fondant potatoes
Baby carrots
Fine green beans
Sugar snap and mange tout peas .
Red wine sauce .

Dessert

Baileys creme brûlée
Garnished with summer berries .

What a mad few days wedding cake yesterday , with a diabetic sugar free top tier and then catering at Ascot out of the boot of a car . 😱 In this heat . Oh and 2 other cakes in between 1 for the ascot party 1 for a auction . I’m absolutely shattered

ASCOT LUNCH

Canapés .

Asparagus rolls with Parmesan and prosciutto with a horseradish creme freshe.
Blinis with cream cheese , chive , dill and lemon with smoked salmon

Roast fillet of beef on a bed of rocket with rocket sauce .
Coronation chicken
Salmon rillettes
Green bean. Mange tout and sugar snap pea salad with lemon dressing .
Marinated tomato salad
Potato and chive salad
Artisan breads and butter

Dessert
Eton mess

Chocolate cake for tea later this afternoon.

Well what a lovely day and oh what a busy one up at the crack of dawn finishing off afternoon tea / picnic orders all delivered by 930am . And the cake of course appears it garnered a lot of attention and my client even managed to get the countess of Wessex to cut the first slice . Pics to follow lots of photos taken I believe . I even got to enjoy the atmosphere with the bexley street crowd and my lovely friend maire . Then off to my regular client to cook a roast chicken dinner phew and breathe .
Appears my cake made an appearance in the daily mail too .

Can’t beat a mini sausage roll straight from the oven 😋 . Those done , lemon posset done ✔️ strawberry cheesecakes done ✔️ Victoria sponge done ready to decorate ✔️ sandwich fillings done ✔️ Just truffles to make strawberries to dip sandwiches to fill cut and package cake to decorate mini cakes to pack along with scones clotted cream and jam . Afternoon tea picnics jubilee celebrations take 2 .🎉😉

What a fab afternoon attending the bexley st , Windsor street party ( and baking scones ,mini Bakewell tarts and lemon drizzle) . And judging the street bake off what an amazing cake that won on both taste and presentation. ❤️
