Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope you had a lovely Christmas and are looking forward to a bright New Year.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of my control, the youth leader position no longer exists at the Carnegie Theatre. The funding that came from Better Tomorrows for my job to allow me to bring provision to the youth of the area has been pulled and I have been informed that my job is a casualty, as are the classes and clubs that I have built in the last year.

It breaks my heart to let you know that youth classes at the Carnegie (Playmakers, Theatre Stars, Youth Theatre, Young Performers, DnD club, Story Club and the upcoming Craft Club) will not be returning and I wish it could be different, however I will be working on bringing similar groups to local venues for those who still have a story in their heart or performance in their soul: watch this space.

I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your support, and to especially recognise the young people who have been members of the many Carnegie clubs that we have built this last year. I wish you all the best for the future.

If you have any enquiries, please call 01900 600703 or box office at 01900 602122.

Join us for an interactive screening of the family festive favourite; The Polar Express! Enjoy the film you know and love but brought to life with the help of the Carnegie Youth Theatre!

When a doubting young boy takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.

Come dressed in your Pyjamas and pick up your hot chocolate before watching the film in our Auditorium with surround sound and big screen. We encourage grown ups to dress up too!

Children's tickets include a hot chocolate and small gift. For grown ups, the bar and coffee shop will be open for purchasing of drinks and snacks. Those 2 years plus will need a ticket. Those under 2 and sitting on a parents lap do not need a ticket.

Story Writing Competition for Young Writers Aged 7-19.

Following the roaring success of WADAMS Next Generation's production of Disney's Frozen Jr, it’s Panto time! Oh Yes it is!

This year we will be bringing Snow White and the Seven Dwarves to the people of Workington. This year’s panto will run from 26th – 30th Dec: with a 2pm performance on Boxing day, and 2 performances per day on 27th – 30th at 2pm and 6pm.

Our first session will be held on Tuesday 19th September. This will be a short session starting at 7.15pm, where those interested in auditioning for Principal roles can attend to meet the production team, discuss roles available and obtain the audition information. There are a number of roles available for all ages. As this is a short introduction session, we advise parents that are bringing their children to remain (either in the front room, or in the car etc), as it expected to last no longer than an hour. Please note you will need a phone to access the audition material which is downloadable from a Google Drive link.

AGE RESTRICTION - Due to the intense rehearsal and performance expectations of the pantomime, all performers must be age 10 or above.

Auditions are to be held on Tuesday 26th September. If you would like to be a member of the chorus, rehearsals will commence on Tuesday 3rd October.

Old and new members are more than welcome! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
