Twist-O-Flex Dance Company are an authentic street dance company based in Weston-Super-Mare. Co-founded in 2015 by two sisters, Emma and Laura, the Twist-O-Flex movement has grown in full force and continues to create inspired, confident young dancers to this day. Between our Twist-O-Flex directors/ teachers they have a wealth of experience and qualifications that allows them to teach their lesson
s to the highest of standards. With such a wide range of experience and qualifications, the sisters are able to use their knowledge to help further each of their dancers in a way that suits each of them. Emma and Laura bring passion and enthusiasm and pride themselves on working with each dancer to find their inner confidence – their inner fire! Twist-O-Flex Dance Company specialize in teaching street dance which aim to inspire and enrich the lives of children aged 2 years and upwards. We cover authentic street dance styles such as Hip-Hop, Breaking, Locking, House, Dance Hall and have elements of popping, whacking and voguing in our classes. Our ethos is to find each dancers ‘fire’ inside of them – each fire is unique but equally as powerful. We believe that our dance training is all about improving confidence, resilience, focus and musicality and aim to create a nurturing, safe environment for all… oh and let’s not forget about the great tunes and all-round good vibes! SADLY both Diddy Street classes will be cancelled this morning due to extremely icy conditions at our venue. It is not safe throughout the location therfore the venue will not be opening until later today.

🌟FIRST TIME OUT...🌟
First time competing their new dance as a team for our Company Crew and smashed it! All day we were so proud of them and how well they supported each other and other teams, gave their everything on the dance floor, a poorly team member who smashed the team dance, last minute routines created and lots of fears and nerves overcome! They pushed themselves to do big things yesterday and they will grow so much from this! We don't always do it for the trophies, we do it for those experiences and chances to grow as people and as a dance team 🧡
However.... what a bonus, coming away with 2nd place out of 8 INSANE teams! The standard was so, so high and gave their all to get that place!
Solo rounds were incredible and Lydia came away with 5th place!
Duos were so good, with very little prep (some only an hour or so) they all smashed them and looked great! Lydia and Nancy took 5th place in a very tough category and Hailey and Maisie got the Stand Out award from the judges!
All in all such a positive day for the Company Crew ✨️

We have decided to remain closed on Tuesday 32st October (Halloween) so that our Twist-O-Flexers can go Trick or Treating.
In previous years our dancers have had to make the hard decision between coming class or going out with family and friends for the evening. This has resulted in small classes and dancers getting behind with their choreography. Closing classes means no one gets behind with learning their dances and no one misses out on Trick or Treating if they want to.
If you do jot celebrate the festival we thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding behind our choice to close.

Super Culture are hosting the Climate Carnival Parade today, starting from the Tropicana at 11am heading down weston High Street, ending at the Italian Gardens.
Come and march, dance and watch us perform TODAY! We will be dancing through the parade and showcasing the dance on the Stage at the Italian gardens. Please do join us for a wonderful event, there will be so much to see and do!
Not to mention the Whirligig Festival will be starting straight after the parade has finished. Our good friend Kieran Warner (AKA King K) will be performing with his Circus group Simple Cypher - please do go and support him and his team!

We are so privileged to have been invited back by Super Culture to perform and march in this year's climate carnival. We participated last year for the first time and we had THE BEST time as well as spreading an important message.

Thank you and for the most incredible day on Saturday. Our litefeet team emerged on the battle scene for the first time this weekend and it did not disappoint. So much energy, talent, positivity and love in one place. We all had the best time.
And to top it all off this bunch ended up walking away with 3rd Place in the teams showcase 🥉! They were up against some of the biggest Litefeet names in the UK and from across the world. There was no age limit, so our young ones smashed it out of the park! They smashed their first time at Litefest and already can't wait for 2024!
But until then they'll be busy training and getting LITE!
