This MASSIVE cake went out today to help celebrate the retirement of a wonderful childminder who has dedicated 25 years to caring for 100s of children. Deep lemon sponge filled with vanilla buttercream and strawberry conserve topped with tangy lemon buttercream, hand gilded white chocolate malted balls, strawberries and cherries hand painted with edible gold, lindt chocolates, gold and pink sprinkles and a dusting of sparkly gold edible glitter. A real centrepiece for the buffet table!

Cricket season is in full swing again 🏏 This week they were treated to some homemade bread pudding. How on earth they play after eating a chunk of this I'll never know! A good old traditional bake bursting with raisins, sultanas, cranberries and warming spices. 😋
