These are all bespoke, hand-crafted pieces of art, all individual and with their own unique patina.

We may be taking a small break for the festive season but the wedding and event hire part of the business is still taking bookings for 2025 and beyond.

We have over 300 colourful funky chairs in our warehouse patiently waiting to do their thang and help you celebrate in style, whatever the occasion.

B E Y O N D happy with this gorgeous new little studio all branded up now and ready to trade 🥰

Thank you to all who have helped us get to this point, especially Mr Gallis who always has the vision, and saw the light - taking it from a tired (but loved by the community) old sweet shop to a funky and fabulous studio.

who has taken our old brand into the 24th Century with a whole new look and feel and creating not only a new name and logo but giving out ethos and mission statement love and attention. We are incredibly proud of what Purple Door Props was, but now it feels like it’s got a swanky new velvet suit and is ready for a disco 🪩 Thank you Vicky. There is no one else who we would have trusted to look after this little business.

Thank you to the fabulous team at who have not only been patient with us through the process (we did not anticipate what was lurking under our old signage and old shop front) and lovingly taken ‘s creations and brought them to fruition. We have used them twice now and would absolutely recommend them to all our local business friends.

So, we are open! Not only will this be a base for us to work from but we can now properly offer off the shelf chairs and products for you to do your own sustainable up cycling projects. Why not pop in and be inspired?

WE ARE 10 ! 🎂🎁🎂

There are so many things to celebrate this month (one of which is coming soon and is MEGA exciting) but, did you know that we are celebrating 10 years of being in business?

From our beginnings in Wi******er with creating our beautifully bonkers and bold chairs to hire for weddings and events, to then realising the potential for them in peoples homes and setting up the store , nobody really knew where it was going to go.

We bought the business in 2022 and moved the business to Sussex, re-branding from Purple Door Props to T**H CHAIRS. We still offer the same products because we believe wholeheartedly in the ethics and brand, proudly saving hundreds of chairs from landfill to give them a forever home, or send them lovingly out to make people’s weddings and events super funky 🥰

To celebrate our 10 years in business, every sale of hand-painted chairs from Insta/FB, our website or Etsy shops will receive a 10% discount if you order before 31st January 2025.

That’s how many coloured chairs were out on hire this last weekend, travelling to Brighton, Salisbury and Oxford, leaving only a smattering left on the shelves.

This included 29 of our two new colours - sky blue and sage green.

It was certainly a colourful and bright weekend of weddings.

We are starting to introduce some pastels into our range now. Today was the first day they took a trip out of the warehouse. We are loving how they look against our vintage wooden babies.
