Here at HQ, we have been busy planning this year's event but we took some time to go and find as many windows as we could for ! We didn't make it round to see every single one but we certainly found most.

Wotton Pride wouldn't have been possible to get off the ground without the support of Under The Edge Arts so we have pledged to support this fundraiser.
They need just another £174 (at the time of writing) to reach the 50% mark, which in turn means that Stroud District Council will be able to support by donating £1500!
If you can, please donate, if you can't please share to help the algorithm. There's just 6 days left to go!

We’re delighted to say that Stroud District Council has pledged £1500 to our Spacehive campaign to raise funds for new lighting equipment for the Chipping Hall!
However, we will ONLY receive that £1500 if we reach our target for other pledges: we have currently raised £1432 out of £1791 so we really need your help to raise the final £359…

TRANS DAY OF REMEMBRANCE - UUNITED IN OUR GRIEF

⚠️TRIGGER WARNING⚠️

Every year we take this opportunity to remember our dead and every year when we go to check the stats we hope to see that they have gone down from the year before.

At the time of writing the year October 1st 23-24 has 400 reported deaths of our trans siblings. A staggering 324 registered as violence, 42 suicides, and the remaining classified as uncategorised, medical or custodial. Brazil remains the country that reported the majority of murders, followed by Mexico and then the United States.

Please light a candle and take a minute out of your day to remember those lost this year.

United in our Grief
We’ve been quiet of late whilst our Director prepares to bring a baby into the world. We wanted to put a statement out though that we have been watching the events going on in our country and couldn’t stay quiet any longer.
We remember Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe and Alice Dasilva Aguiar from Southport, as their families, friends and communities are grieving. Along with the others injured on Monday 29th July.
We also stand in solidarity with those communities directly and indirectly targeted in the violent, racist and Islamophobic extremism that has ensued in recent days and continues to play out across the UK.
We are thinking of those of you in our communities struggling with these events and are there for you as and when you need us.

Now that the dust, and glitter for that matter, has settled from last weekend.

We at Wotton Pride want to say a massive thank you to everyone involved. All those who supported us in the build up, on the day and over the last week whilst we have recovered.

We were absolutely blown away by the whole thing, and we've found it difficult to find the right words because thank you, doesn't seem enough.

For now, we'll just say thank you and let you know that we've got lots of ideas for next year.
