The official website update for British Equestrian UKCC Level 4 came through this week for our onsite coach Steph Bradley.
Only 51 equestrian coaches in the UK hold this qualification and it has been going since 2015.
Here is a little more about the programme from the official BEF website:
"The Level 4 qualification is for high-performing coaches with considerable experience and it involves an advanced syllabus of professional academic education".
"Level 4 coaches are visionary and knowledgeable decision makers who display exceptional skills and behaviours, and the highest professional and ethical standards. They advance their own and others' development, lead cutting-edge programmes or a specialist part of a programme, and make a positive impact on sport performance and behaviour".
"The Level 4 Coaching Certificate programme provides coaches with a Postgraduate Diploma (PG Dip) in Professional Practice in Sport Coaching and is designed to support and credit learning within the workplace. Forming an integral part of the British Equestrian Level 4 Coaching Certificate qualification for high-performing coaches, it has been created around work-based learning modules focused on skills, knowledge and understanding needed to develop professional practice as well as the ability to manage academic learning".
Steph has gone on to study an MSc in Professional Practice in Sports Coaching and is in the final few months of research - focusing on the impact of the menopause on riders.
Thank you to all who have contributed and supported this journey.
Steph is available for coaching here at Whitegate Farm - or will do a clinic offsite if sufficient demand! โบ๏ธ
Dane Rawlins Clinic here next two days!
Dane has such a vast knowledge from years (and years!) of equestrian experience, having trained and ridden many horses to Grand Prix - and he is a British Equestrian Elite Coach!
Here Dane is helping us with young Fergie - helping him get more confident in left rein by helping Sasha!
All levels welcome.
Dane is next here 17-18 February!
PM if interested in a slot!
10* home need only apply!
Gorgeous Sydney is now available for monthly lease.
Adv Med/PSG schoolmaster.
Lovely genuine nature, easy to do - perfect schoolmaster for someone looking to learn, ride and compete at the higher levels. He is 12 years old this year.
Ideally he will stay here at Whitegate Farm on livery, where we have all his regular team and coaches visiting, but open to discussing him going to new home.
This video is of Steph riding Syd on one of the first timesโฆand doing tempi changes around the arena, showing how very genuine and honest he is! And how capable!
If you are looking for an amazing opportunity to have the ride on a lovely advanced horse - please contact Francesca on 07584 991995
๐๐ Please DONATE ๐๐
The Macmillan Quadrille performed their Mission Impossible again! Here is a snippet!
Super proud of this amazing group of riders having never all ridden together! Formed this morning at 10am - performing at 12 noon!!
Especially proud of young Max Cookson-Johnson who is in remission from Leukaemia and performed today again! Max - you are an inspiration.
Please donate - letโs make this day count!

๐Following on last years success, this year we are hosting another Macmillan Coffee Morning on 1st October! ๐
๐And making it bigger and better! ๐๐ป
๐Call out riders who are interested in being in the quadrille!
๐This year, rather than in โAnnika Riceโ style of pulling it all together on the day (!), we will have three rehearsals here.
These dates are:
20 August
3 September
17 September
Plus 1 Oct performance.
๐You must attend ALL three dates, plus the performance date.
๐You will need a reasonably sensible pony or horse that does not kick other horses - no bigger than 16hh.
๐You will also need a partner - so maybe you can practice riding together outside of rehearsals.
๐Riders must be capable - 11 years or older. As you can see last year we had a lovely mix, or different types of horses. And it all came together on the day amazingly well!
There is no cost for being part of the quadrille, apart from your absolute dedication to attend training and the coffee morning. And cake. You must bring cake for the Coffee Morning!
Previous years riders will take priority in places but we are seeking additional riders to join our group!
Last year we raised ยฃ1300 - letโs see if we can beat that this year! Invite your friends and family - all welcome to come and watch - and DONATE!!
It would be wonderful if equestrian centres around the UK (and our friends in Ireland!) could organise something similar for such a great cause - welcoming the general public to come and watch horses and their riders having fun, and raising money for a great charity at the same time!
Even if you canโt attend the rehearsals - bring people down ! Letโs make some money for this amazing cause.
