The pop of lavender really works with the beautiful caramel tones, apricot and ivory tones. There were 16 buttonholes ready and waiting for the groom and his special guests yesterday.

Today's wedding flowers were for the lovely Hana and John
Hana opted for a mix of toffee roses, thistle, waxflower, delphiniums, dill, apricot lisianthus, scabious, stocks and dried lavender. Having both spent some time working away in France they both wanted a gentle nod to their time spent in a beautiful landscape. Hence plenty of lavender, scent and a rustic venue.
Congratulations to the newlyweds.

Still can't get over how stunning Rachel looked and her bridal bouquet complimented her dress beautifully.
The delicate bow and trails fall so nicely against the dress and her hair by looked gorgeous and classic.

Rachel looked like the most gorgeous and elegant bride on Friday along with her beautiful bridesmaids all dressed up in navy full length dresses and carrying these simple ivory florals.
The bride opted for a classic posy of roses, gypsophilia and phelanopsis orchids to compliment the silk arrangements by and they couldn't have been a better match.
There were some smaller added details such as the ivory bow trails and a small memory charm attached to the ribbon for safe keeping. I always find this part of the job emotional. It's such a special moment and an honour when the couple ask for sentiment to be included in their flowers.

Little Christmas Update on the Wreath Workshops.
All four workshops take place over two weekends this year. Similar to last year but slightly earlier. Many people have booked on super early to get ahead and secure their place so I now have limited spaces on certain dates.
The workshops are a fun way to get into the festive spirit with friends and loved ones. It's a joy for me to see so many of you being creative and enjoying the task at hand. With fizz on arrival and a festive treat we start with a little demo for the wreath base and then work on foliages and decoration. Finished nicely with a gorgeous luxurious bow. Each workshop is around 2 hours and costs £55 per person. I require a £25 deposit to secure your spot so please get in touch via email 📧 [email protected] OR DM and I will get back to you asap.
I will be showing you all some colour theme choices for the ribbons this year as soon as the new colour chart arrives. 😀

I am ready to embrace the late Summer/Autumn season. Flowers are arguably at their best this time of year. I am probably biased as I got married at the beginning of September and the gardens were a vision of colour. The vibrancy and textures are just stunning. My bouquet was filled with coral vuveuzela roses, stocks, berry coloured dahlias, blackberries, pale blue delphiniums, oreganum, mintflower, gorgeous ohara roses, ferns. Just loveliness.
With a busy late August and September ahead, I want to remind all couples getting married early next year that it would be a good time to get in touch with me to arrange your final consultations. This is a heads up to prospective couples too, as from October and November I am busy with Christmas preparations and workshops and I have my last wedding of the year on the 20th December. I will then take a two week break over Christmas 🎄

There have been lots of enquiries over the last couple of weeks regarding the Christmas Wreath Workshops 2024.
I did pre-release the dates back in January as there was such a demand to book in advance for this year. Many regulars have snapped up the spots but dont worry, I have spaces left. Let's get ready for some festive cheer and creativity!
Stuck for a present or a regular Christmas get together? The wreath workshops give you a fantastic opportunity to catch up with friends and family, have a few drinks and nibbles, become obsessed with ribbon choices 😀 and this is all whilst you get to work creating your own door wreath.
All bases, foliages, decoration material, dried fruits and sundries, ribbons, bows and bells will be provided for your seasonal evening or afternoon. There will be fizz on arrival and a small treat waiting for you.

MEETINGS/CONSULTATIONS
Happy Sunday!
Today I have two lovely face to face consultations to discuss the florals for weddings next year.
We will discuss all the details from the bridal flowers to the reception, cake etc.
This a great opportunity to meet the couples and extended family members. We also get a feel for the style and look the couples want for their special day. Plus there is always a good coffee involved whilst we chat.
My usual process on bookings is to send out a price list and then I can either meet you to discuss the florals or we can have an informal chat via video call/phone. If you decide to book your date, I ask for a holding fee to secure the date and a contract with all my terms and conditions will be sent to you accordingly.
Here's to a special year coming up. 2025 is looking fabulous already.

I've used plenty of textured foliages including beautifully scented jasmine trails, eucalyptus, asparagus fern and parvi. For the florals I decided on delphiniums, stocks, spray roses, lisianthus, thistle, touches of gyp and some gorgeous dahlias.

Jess opted for some jasmine trails to add a little bit of extra texture and detail and it really works against her dress. The softness of the foliage compliments the fabric so well.

All prospective couples. I can't secure a date without a booking fee. I have sadly told some couples over the last few weeks that I am no longer available for their date. This is due to not receiving a booking fee. The fee is non refundable but deducted from your final your balance. To commit to a date with no commitment from the couple is not feasible. Therefore, I urge you to act as quick as possible to secure your date.

What would the morning of your wedding be like without your girl gang?
It is lovely to see the bridesmaids still holding onto their flowers whilst having a drink to celebrate the newlyweds. The florals were such a huge feature for Kate and Tom's wedding so it's great to see so many photos with them in.
If you're not quite sure on the cost of bridal flowers drop me a message for a price list. Most freelance florists have a minimum spend as do I, but don't let that put you off it's just a sensible business decision. In general my minimum spend covers the bridal flowers, bridesmaids and buttonholes dependent on numbers. So you are able to get the style you are wanting for the price but it will fluctuate when it comes to the Reception, arches, milk churns, flowers meadows and installations etc.

Abi and Gabe tied the knot last Friday. A simple, classic and vintage style wedding. A gown made by the bride herself and lots of DIY decor.
Abi did not want too large of a bouquet. She wanted it to be kept neat and simple to compliment her dress. So we opted for blush pink, ivory and beautiful coral peonies with her colour scheme.

So I'm thinking of running a Summer Bouquet Workshop in August, using only British Flowers for all the wonderful flower lovers out there.

It will be a workshop of up to 20 people. A lovely opportunity to learn about British Blooms alongside a group of other flower enthusiasts, hear about how and where they are locally grown, the sustainability of flowers, eco choices and most importantly how to design and style your own florals.
Fresh flowers and foliage will be included with some tea and cake.

A little break now for the next couple of weeks then I have two lovely little weddings before we go on our holiday.
This weekend gone, was my busiest weekend this year and it has been lovely to work with such great couples. I could sleep standing up but the joy on the couples faces is priceless. It's always an honour to be part of your special day.
I've been reviewing next year and my bookings so far and I am 50% booked up for the year which is amazing and I'm so grateful to all those couples who have booked in early to get their date secured.
I will be taking up to 30 weddings next year. That's my limit. So I can focus on my kids, time with the hubby, holidays, a family wedding, time with my new nephew and friends.
