Wymondham Rugby Club is proud to host the Eastern Counties Touch Festival – supporting a fantastic cause that raises funds for local children with disabilities and disadvantages. 🌟

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of social touch rugby at Wymondham Rugby Club, all in aid of Wooden Spoon, the children's charity of rugby. This is a fantastic opportunity to get some exercise, meet new people, and support a worthy cause.

• All proceeds from player sign-up will be donated to Wooden Spoon

Match Report: Wymondham Colts vs. North Walsham

A hard-fought cup clash saw Wymondham Colts narrowly lose out to North Walsham, with the final score 10-20. In front of a massive home crowd on a sunny, crisp day, both teams battled intensely, but North Walsham edged ahead in a closely contested encounter.

Despite the result, the Colts showed great determination and spirit throughout. Well played to both teams! 🔴⚫️

A huge congratulations to Joe Stace on being named Player of the Month!

Joe has been in fantastic form this season, but his performances in January have been truly exceptional. His powerful running in attack consistently gives the team momentum, but it’s his defensive work that has really stood out.

Wearing the number 13 shirt, Joe has been a rock in defence, showing incredible reliability. In Saturday’s game against Woodford, he put in a monumental shift, completing 18 tackles with 0 missed—an outstanding effort!

🎉 Match Update: Titans Triumph! 🏉

Yesterday, the Wymondham U18 Girls, joined by Norwich Wildcats & Lowestoft & Yarmouth to form the Titans, faced Braintree in an EC Conference match. It wasn’t the game we expected, but it turned into a fantastic display of rugby spirit!

Braintree faced challenges with injuries and a short squad, starting with only 13 players against our 21, which later reduced further. At 29-0, Braintree bravely decided to concede the cup game due to their reduced numbers. But the rugby didn’t stop there! Both teams reformed into two evenly matched barbarian squads, showcasing great rugby in cold, windy conditions.

Credit to all players who stepped out of position or played for Braintree—it was a true testament to sportsmanship.

This victory takes our U18s into the EC Conference Finals in March! 🏆 Well done, everyone! Special thanks to Kerry Lake - KML amateur photography for capturing the action 📸.
