"The ban will include single-use plastic plates, trays, bowls, cutlery, balloon sticks, and certain types of polystyrene cups and food containers. This ban will be introduced from October 2023, allowing businesses time to prepare"

So this is interesting!

A Greenpeace spokesperson said "We're dealing with a plastic flood, and this is like reaching for a mop instead of turning off the tap" and has called on the government to deliver a "meaningful" strategy on how to reduce plastic use, which would also include stringent targets and "a proper reuse and refill scheme".

We don't know yet when the ban is coming into force, however we are able to start right now by hiring kit instead of buying and wasting!

We are funding raising to be able to offer a Warm Bank at The Huddle in Quedam Shopping Centre, Yeovil , 4 afternoon's a week during January & February.

A Warm Bank is a place for people to come, grab a warm drink, sit and chat, play and give them a place to keep warm and save putting their own heating on for a bit, saving money during the colder months of the year.

The Huddle Warm Bank will be aimed at expectant parents, those with children and their relatives (including carers, foster parents, grandparents).

Free - Hot drinks available - play resources

Help us raise money to offer this much needed facility . All funds raised will cover the heating costs, provision of drinks.

If each follower donated £1 we could include snacks & free nappies
