Here is a cake I made today for a little girl's very special day.

An 8 inch 3 layer vanilla sponge with strawberry jam and vanilla buttercream filling, fully covered in a dusky pink marble effect fondant with silver veining, and finished off with a little handmade mouse holding a balloon.

A 6 inch 3 layer chocolate fudge cake, filled and covered with biscoff buttercream and a layer of biscoff spread and crushed biscoff biscuits.
Decorated with a white chocolate ganache drip, strawberry and caramel macarons, meringues, pink lindor chocolates and dried flowers.
I printed out the logos and set them on fondant to make the signs.
The personalised topper was purchased from Etsy

Two infinity and beyond!!!

I think this is another one of my favourites!
2 x 8 inch chocolate fudge filled with chocolate fudge buttercream and milk chocolate ganache
2 x 6 inch lemon sponge filled with homemade lemon curd and lemon buttercream.
The whole cake was covered in fondant. Bottom tier Buzz lightyear theme, top tier Woody theme.

Cookie cakes are becoming very popular.
This 8 inch double chocolate chip (milk and white) cookie cake had a milk chocolate ganache and Oreo cream filling, with milk and white chocolate ganache decoration and topped with Ferrero Roche, lindt chocolates and kinder chocolates.
These are so delicious, but you really only need a small slice!! 🤣😋

This is the 3rd cake I have made for this little boy. We've had dinosaurs, under the sea, and now, space 🚀
A 2 tier (2 x 8 inch, 2 x 6 inch) vanilla sponge with raspberry jam filling and covered in raspberry flavour buttercream. Complete with handmade planets (non edible), stars, an astronaut, aliens and even a space rocket (non edible).

A huge challenge last weekend, but I think I pulled it off!
This was a very specific request and I had 4 elements to include:
A Doc Martens boots
A Dr Pepper can (huge fan!)
Some snails
A Doctorate graduation hat
Chocolate fudge and caramel was the request for the can, and for the boot I made a variation on a Chocolate cola cake recipe, but swapped the cola for Dr Pepper instead. I was a little disappointed that the flavour of the Dr Pepper did come through as well as I'd hoped, but the sponge was lovely and moist. I suppose you can't win them all!!!
Still, I was pretty happy with the results, even if I did have one or two sleepless nights over how I was going to make the boot!!! 🤣

This was my very first standing, winged Unicorn. It has a wire frame with fondant moulded around it. I made a fondant rainbow, sugar paste butterflies and roses. I also added some artificial flowers and decorative balls to finish.
The cake was a 6 inch 3 layer vanilla sponge with strawberry jam filling and covered in vanilla buttercream.
The acrylic name and number were specially ordered from Etsy

A massive 80's fan celebrating her 50th birthday, so she went for a Freddie Krueger theme and an 'All things 80's' theme.
All the decorations are hand made. I'm pretty pleased with little Freddie, although he's not very scary looking! 👀😱

Wedding cake no.1 of this week 💍 Bottom tier: 8 inch 4 layer vanilla sponge filled with homemade strawberry jam and covered with vanilla buttercream. Top tier: 6 inch 4 layer lemon sponge filled with homemade lemon curd and covered with lemon buttercream. I wasn't required to decorate this cake, as the customer wanted to do this for her Son and new Daughter in law. Eyes down!!!! Last week's cake was this Bingo inspired beauty. 6 layers of chocolate fudge deliciousness, filled with Kinder buttercream and a liquid Kinder chocolate center, and covered in vanilla buttercream. This was completely with fondant bingo balls, rice paper bingo cards and a fantastic personalised topper from By Louise 👌

The second cake of the weekend was this puuuurfect little black cat 🐈‍⬛ This was a special request from the birthday girl. She wanted a cake to look like her cat ☺️ I hope I delivered!?! An 8 inch 3 layer chocolate fudge cake filled with strawberry buttercream (made with fresh strawberries) and covered with black chocolate buttercream. This cake challenged me a little as it was originally covered with black fondant icing. I wasn't happy with the finish, so I took it all off and started again!! I'm so pleased I did, as I was much happier second time round.

Wow! What a busy weekend!!!! It started off with this show stopper! A 6 inch 3 layer vanilla sponge, filled and covered in vanilla buttercream and topped with a white chocolate ganache drip. This was finished with handmade Bluey characters, fondant rainbows, marshmallows, Frazzles and Jelly beans. The topper was specially made by the very talented Louise at By Louise This was for a very special little girls 3rd birthday 🎂🎈🎁
