3 tips for kissing in your ceremony:

1) If it feels right, go for it! Don’t wait until you’re told to kiss- add in a few smooches at random!

2) When it comes to the big kiss, hold it slightly longer than you would usually - give your photographer a chance to capture this moment!

3) An aisle kiss is a fabulous way to end your ceremony - surrounded by loved ones and close to your beloved 🥰

One tip for planning your wedding day that will make a huge difference: make sure you plan some time alone. Whether it’s a moment post-ceremony to share a Prosecco, a drive in your wedding vehicle or a little portrait shoot, plan in some time to kiss, laugh, be silly and connect on your wedding day.

I always try to give you plenty of space for your first kiss, but as this photo from proves, I’ll be off to the side somewhere, beaming with pride!

I can’t help it. When you work as closely with your couples as I do and get to know their relationship and their love story, it never feels like just another wedding ceremony. Every interaction is precious and intimate and meaningful.
It couldn’t be further from a registrar-led ceremony!

Whoever you’re kissing at midnight, have a good one! I hope 2024 was kind to you, but if not, tomorrow’s your chance for a fresh start.

For me, 2024 was a whirlwind of a year! I’ve married couples from abroad in a castle, handfasted lovers in a wood, worked in new venues and travelled further afield for ceremonies. I’ve learnt (and I’m still learning?!) the fine art of balancing motherhood and work, and I’ve also started working freelance for museums, and done my first TV appearance through this.

A huge thank you to all my couples. I’ve loved every moment of getting to know you, understanding your relationship and sharing your joy with your guests. Thanks also to my 2025 couples for putting your trust in me to deliver a wedding that feels like you: I hope you’re getting excited!!

My gratitude also to all the venue staff and suppliers who beaver away to make a whole wedding day feel easy and seamless, when actually it’s a heck of a lot of work! And thanks to the photographers, videographers and content makers who immortalise those beautiful moments.

This is me signing out for Christmas! If you need me, I’ll be attempting to achieve a state of oneness with a cheese board, and simultaneously defending my Christmas tree against toddler attack! 🤣

Winter weddings… what’s not to like?! Twinkling lights take on a whole new magic, and if you’re lucky, you’ll be blessed with that special wintery golden light.

Saying your wedding vows in front of scores of people can feel incredibly vulnerable! I understand.

Not everybody likes public speaking or feeling like you’re the centre of attention, plus you’re saying some really honest things.

When the Prosecco starts flowing, wedding guests tell me the unvarnished truth: that my Humanist wedding ceremonies hit differently! I distinctly remember chatting with these two guests from the groom’s family and their fabulously positive response to my ceremony.
