We’re back in the office from tomorrow and will be ready to answer all emails and enquires! I won’t dress it up, we’ve loads of availability for 2025 and 2026 so if you want live music with a difference from a band who’ve been doing this professionally for 14 years now and have over 1000 songs in the repertoire, get in touch!

We don’t do wedding fayres, and we barely work through agencies, so if you message us, you’re guaranteed to be speaking to a band member!

What a way to finish off the weddings of 2024! Max and Charlotte threw an INCREDIBLE party tonight and we had an absolute blast. A packed dance floor all night, some great requests, and Fairytale of New York getting people on the fireplace to finish before we handed over to the marvellous .sax!

Thank you SO much to everyone who has booked us this year. We’re 13 years in and still going strong, mostly by word of mouth, and we never take your support for granted!

Have an amazing Christmas and we’ll hopefully see lots of you at The Mayfield in Seamer on NYE or come and see us play in the Fanzone at York City Football Club on New Years Day!

Thank you to everyone who partied with us over the last two nights at and a massive shout out to Ash, Nicola and team for having us, we’ve had an incredible time!
We were delighted to be joined by former Mixtapes bassist and vocalist, last night which was a lovely blast from the past! James may well be stepping in for Dan on some shows next year, so watch this space! The OG returned! Much reminiscing was done about times on the road up and down the country, playing weddings at what felt like most venues in the UK! 😂

Tonight we arrive at our final wedding of the year, and one that’s set to be very special!

We’ve had a great couple of days playing for a 40th Birthday in York on Friday, then playing for a Christmas party last night at Stepney Hill Farm in Scarborough!
Back on the road next weekend where we head down to Scarborough for a Birthday, over to Pocklington for a Christmas Party and then we finish off the pre-Christmas run with two more parties and a Christmas Wedding!

About us!

Hello! We are The Mixtapes and we are a Wedding and Function band based in Scarborough, playing across the UK and beyond.

We play a large number of weddings, parties, and corporate events throughout the year and pride ourselves on being able to provide a massively eclectic range of music to suit all tastes and ages. We are happy to learn songs for events if a client would like something that isn't on our set list!

Our standard package for any event includes a FREE DJ service prior to, and after the live band sets. All sound and lighting is provided and we have all our electrical equipment PAT tested. Additionally we carry up £10 million pounds of public liability insurance.

We work well with events management staff, and wedding planners and discretion is part and parcel. You’ll barely know we are there until we start playing! There is no need for noisy unpleasant soundchecks, everything is digitally pre-set to give you a brilliant sound from the very first song.
