We love these little real trees we made this year, with a light flocking of snow and all they needed to bring them alive were some lights. They are the tops of taller trees that aren’t a good shape and no one wants. They last right through to the summer, pop it in your garage and get them out next year dried. Only one left.

Our long wooden candle candlestick hold that we have dressed for Christmas is keeping us warm in the studio on this wet Saturday. We have only made two so get in touch if you would like one, otherwise Miranda and I will have a beautifully dressed mantlepiece. They are also lovely in the summer outside on your table. Foliage easily removed after christmas.

We are so pleased to have some balloon art at our Christmas open day done by our local balloon artist Balloon Occasions By Kay. If you are thinking of having some balloon art done for you special occasion call in for a look. We have asked for a Christmas tree with a twist as one of the displays.

We are getting ready for a pop up Christmas shop in our Dunnington Studio. We will have lots of ready to go door wreaths, table decorations and a few gift ideas . We will be open on the Friday and Saturday 10 till 2, tea, coffee and a sweet treat while you shop. Watch this space for the dates.

Our first finished candle stick. We cut out the metal leaves then add texture and gold leaf, finally we cut wooden bases to size and fit the candle cup and leaf in place. We are making 10 for our Christmas show at Ripon Cathedral. To time consuming to make lots! Better get on cutting out more.

Just finished the hand sewn edge on one of our memory silk cushions. Using silk textured thread to create the single little knots really finishes them off perfectly.

We would like to thank you all for supporting us and following our page. We know so many of you personally and we are going to miss you. Some of you will know that after 28 years we have decided to close Fiona Hogg Floral Designs. We are however carrying on with our memories and wedding day keepsakes business and hope you will continue to follow us on Preservemyweddingbouquet and see what we are getting up to. So hopefully it’s ‘by for now but for good.

We have had a great day at Birdsall Houses wedding open day. It’s a wonderful homely house which is perfect for any brides big day. We chatted and amazed brides to be with our wedding day keepsake silk scarves, they couldn’t believe we can preserve their bridal bouquet onto silk. We are thrilled to now be able to offer bamboo silk for all vegan and vegetarian brides. #
