A busy day yesterday with the burger van at the Motorbike trials British championship round at Addingham moorside run by Yeadon Guiseley and District Motor Club we were lucky with where we were to be able to see some sections, when it wasn't too misty or we were too busy!

Last night we surprised a bride to be on her hen weekend with a 3 course meal served at Murton Grange Holiday Cottages The girls had asked her fiancé to choose her meal for her, and luckily she was happy with his choices, So the wedding is still on!

We started off with a nice sunny morning on the Pendragon Stages Rally at Warcop ranges, but the rain has now arrived 🌧️
We have had to set up a rain guard and extra support on the canopy to stop it blowing away!

I didn't do very well last night with pictures but a couple of meals we served at York Motor Yacht club. I stayed last night to do the quiz, but I wasn't much help with it!

On Sunday we will have the burger van at the Pendragon Stages Rally at Warcop. We are at the junction into service area A, so come and see us for a breakfast bap, burger, hot and cold drinks or a sweet treats

A weekend "Messing around on the river" This weekend I mixed pleasure with work at York Motor Yacht Club, Fulford, York
As normal we served meals before the quiz on Friday night. Then Saturday the club teamed up with the Friends of the Ouse, to host a rally with a flotilla down the Ouse, breakfast butties, Pimm's reception, BBQ, flowing off the night with karaoke. Money was also raised throughout the day for the ParOARmedics with around 1K being raised. This morning I put on a breakfast buffet in the club house for anyone who stayed over.

A trip up to Masham yesterday, to serve a packed lunch for the competitors on Ripon Motor Sport Club St Wilfreds tour.
We supplied ham, egg or cheese sandwiches, sausage roll, crisps, flapjack, water and tea and coffee. Had a great day catching up with lots of friends

A busy day yesterday at Luskys Leadmine Marathon. I didn't do very well for pictures with being kept busy all day. It was great to see so many people coming out to support the event. A quote from the organiser Robin...
"The main purpose of the event was to raise money for Prostate cancer research and to raise its profile so men in the sport get themselves checked.
Well, we managed to raise in excess of £10000 (still rising) and more importantly several people have had the check and thankfully caught it early and are being treated"

A lovely sky tonight whilst leaving the yacht club.
The salad tonight was prosciutto and grilled peach, and we did a dessert of profiteroles with a Bailey's chocolate sauce and a peach Melba meringue

The Countdown Is On! The place to be is Greenhow Village near Pateley Bridge this Saturday at 9am. 10th August

This will be quite a spectacle of an event and everyone is welcome to spectate on the day. We have catering from the great Two Jays Catering and toilet facilities on site in stunning Yorkshire scenery. So come and cheer on the riders who need your support in this gruelling test of stamina

Today we did afternoon tea for a memorial service for a lovely couple I knew, who both sadly passed away within a short time of each other, earlier in the year. I also collected a lovely spray of flowers from Dutch Nurseries for a friend who was unable to be there, they also supplied sprays for the tablets in the hall.

A 2 course supper delivery for a 70th birthday celebration for a family staying at Clock Farm Holidays. Chicken wrapped in prosciutto with tomato sauce, garlic and herb roast potatoes and Mediterranean vegetables and beef bourguignon with mashed potatoes and roasted root vegetables. With chocolate brownie and profiteroles with chocolate sauce for dessert

A lovely group of ladies on Saturday night at Foldyard House
The hen party had vegetables gyros with teriyaki sauce and king prawn and pomegranate salad with mango chili dressing for starters, chicken wrapped in prosciutto with asparagus sauce, belly pork with Yorkshire pudding and gravy and Cajun sweet potato roulade with tomato sauce for the main course and a chocolate brownie cheesecake and mixed berry Eton mess for dessert

Saturday night's Mexican buffet, served to 26 ladies on a glamping hen weekend. Beef and mixed bean chili, chicken fajitas, tortillas, tacos, rice, lettuce, cheese and salsa, guacamole and sour cream 🌮🌯

Friday night and I was at the yacht club serving dinner. This week's specials were Chicken with a creamy mushroom and bacon sausage, beef chili with rice, sour cream and nachos, desserts we a ice cream sundae with summer fruits or ginger sponge with caramel and a tropical choux bun

Today we did a memorial service tea for a lady at Haxby church hall. It was so lovely to see so many people there to celebrate her life

Another different celebration on Sunday, this time a 50th anniversary party. We served a 2 course carvery at the family's home.
We served roast beef and turkey, Yorkshire pudding and stuffing, mash and roast potatoes, roast parsnips, braised red cabbage, carrots and gravy, with chocolate brownie, apple and pear crumble and cheese board for dessert
