Our bespoke designs are created with an emphasis on detail, texture and colour, using combinations of exquisite blooms that lend themselves perfectly to our natural and romantic style. By keep things natural and organic in style it enables our flowers to tell their own story. We always try to use many different types of foliage in each piece, to add textures that are just to die for. Each season p

rovides us with we new splendor and things to use, making it very hard to chose our favourite time of year. We don't have a high street premises, instead we create our magic in a small home based studio. This means there are no distractions that come with running a shop, all our attention is on you and your day. This also means that consultations and meetings are to suit you and your diary, whether at your home, the venue or a cute little coffee shop that does amazing cake (bonus).

Well hello! Let me reintroduce myself.

I'm Laura, the face and hands behind Mint & Moose. From the first enquiry responses to the flowers on the day, it's me. Behind every quote, consultation, flower buying and sourcing, van packing, bucket cleaning, site take downs, it's me. With sometimes my mum , who is chief sweeper and generally tidying up queen 😅

I have a home based studio between York and Selby and absolutely love what i do. I've been in the industry about 15 years and have seen a lot of trends come and go.

I'd say my 'style' is natural and not particularly over thought, but with plenty of textures and variety within the flowers and foliage. I like to use local growers as much as i can and will use the most sustainable and planet friendly mechanics, always. Most of my work comes from venue recommendation which is always rather fab.

And a few little details about me...

* I love autumn and everything that comes with it. From jumpers, boots and cosy layers to the excuse to have more candles and cushions.

*I'm 40 next year and not sure how I feel about that!

*I live with my 2 children and partner, we've been together 20 years and never married.

* I'd like to think I'm a keen gardener but if you saw the state of it currently you may doubt that.

* I'm a huge bird nerd.

* I happily live off pasta and bread.

All the ruffles and blousey blooms for todays wedding. Really loved this one and can't wait to share more!

This wedding season has been bonkers, completely and utterly crackers. I'm so grateful for the amazing couples who have entrusted me to flower their big day. There's been flower Arches, columns, pedestals, staircases, ceramics, oodles of bud vases and much more. I've been too busy to post much but the beginning of September I have a bit of a breather before Octobers weddings, I'll try get caught up with pictures!

A lot of love for ceramics this year for tables and other pieces. I'm loving these n**e ceramic footed bowls especially, just adding that bit of warmth to very white linen.

This recent wedding was a beaut. 16 table centres using mainly locally grown blooms from . Full of variety, texture and the most divine summer flowers and foliage in the dreamiest colour palette. I can't wait to share more from this wedding, from arches, floral columns, and more. It is total summer wedding goals.

Spring is definitely in the air! The weather today has been such a welcome change to the miserable, grey skies. The sun has been out and I've managed to get all sorts done in the garden, including finally planting up my 2 cherry blossom trees. I like to think they are natures confetti and it made my think of this shot from Sarah & Nicks spring wedding by the wonderful

I have some beautiful weddings coming up that I genuinely can not wait to get going on. The first one is in 2 weeks and its very spring inspired, using the best seasonal blooms. I'll been spamming you with pictures for sure!

Waiting for sunny days like these. Glad to have got January out of the way. Is it such a long month, isn't it? February is busy with site visits and meetings for this years weddings and getting the garden looking something like ready for growing. Happy days.

Well, that's me done until next year when my wedding season starts again mid January, my final flower proposals have just been sent out.

This year has thrown a few curve balls my way, but I've had some absolutely fantastic couples who have trusted me to create florals for their dream day. There's been couples who I had to tell I was pregnant and help them move forward in flower planning without me, who were so understanding and awesome. There's been new flower friends I've made along the way and i'm truly grateful to have found a little gang of like-minded florists who help each other out.

I've had the pleasure of working alongside some of the industries very best, from cake designers to venues and photographers.

And although this year has turned out a little differently than first expected with the surprise pregnancy and then arrival of my daughter, it's been a really great year for little old me and this business I started years ago.

Next year is looking to be beast!! There's some truly beautiful weddings planned, and I am so excited to start working on those, again with more incredible couples. There are very limited dates now available so if you would like to chat flowers, don't leave it too late!!

I'm having a bit of a revamp brand wise, too, so I look forward to sharing with you when the time comes. A little tweak to reconnect and be more present. I'm hoping to share more of my work, there's so many weddings I haven't posted about this season. There's just hasnt been time. But!! Will do better next year!!

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year, whatever you're doing. Thank you for sticking with this slightly bonkers 2nd time new mum, florist and all round permanently exhausted 38 yro. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Sweet heart tables are proving to be a super popular setup for next year. They are a nice way for you guys to watch your guests and enjoy a little bit of a breather, just the two of you. Plus, it's a great way around the sometimes tricky "who should be in the top table" debate.

There is a lot of love for flowers on various frames this year. Like this one from earlier this summer. They are a great way to enhance your ceremony space and create a focal point, but also (most of the time) they can be moved and repurposed. Moved to sit behind the top table, for example, or create a fab photo opportunity space for your guests.

I like to try and use your flowers as much as possible on your wedding day. They are gorgeous after all!! I will always suggest ways to get the most out of them.

A rather glorious selection of summer brights from coupled with some awesome roses were used to create Katherine's bouquet. Super textured, plenty of toning pinks and pops or burnt orange. All kinds of yes!

Well, I thought I'd better post something as I've been MIA for a while. I'm still here!!! I had a baby 6 weeks ago, so my wedding season has been a little different this summer. I have been busy behind the scenes, though, with a handful of weddings I'd kept on and so many quotes and bookings for next year, but just no brain space for Instagram.

Now my daughter has settled into the gang a bit more, I can start to share more. I had a month off after she was born and then carried on with weddings 😅

I'm so ready for next year. It is looking AMAZING with some incredible weddings, and I'm looking forward to being back up to full speed.

Thank you for your patience whilst I've been quiet, and thank you to my amazing couples who I had to tell I was pregnant (nervously!) and those florist friends who helped me and to those couples I had to turn down. It's been a different wedding season that's for sure.

Autumn has well and truly arrived hasn't it?! My absolute favourite time of year and this wedding from the weekend was a combination of dreams.

Oodles of variety and textured blooms mixed with seasonal foliage to create an autumnal bridal bouquet in n**es, caramel, rusts, burnt oranges and pops of burgundy. Gorgeous.

Thought I'd better say hello having had a fair few people get I touch recently to chat all things wedding.

This is me, Laura! The face of Mint & Moose and person behind every email, text, zoom meeting, quote, mood board, social media post, wedding set up and of course the flowers. I'm a one man band, but occasionally have help from family and friends if I have a big wedding needing extra hands setting up.

Some random facts about me (if you're remotely interested!)

* I love pasta, pizza, bread. Anything carb loaded makes me happiest.

* I can remember the most random information like car number plates from cars we had growing up in the 80s & 90s. Can't remember anything from my Psychology degree though 😅

* I don't like to eat prawns, crabs, lobster, any shell fish. Nope, no thanks. Its the little eyes that freak me out.

* I don't really drink alcohol, after totally over doing it at uni and the years after ( I ended up with alcohol poisoning, its not cool kids.) I'm pretty much t total. I couldn't use mouth wash with alcohol in for years without feeling ill.

* my favourite book is American Psycho.

Anyway, what more could you need to know about me 🤣

Dried flowers aren't usually my bag, but I really enjoyed this wedding a couple of weeks ago. I had free rein on what materials I used and I think the combination was rather fab, if I do say so myself 😅

These super light and textured buttonholes have unleashed a secret love of dried flowers in me I think. Its the straw flowers, they've got me. Everything but the ruscus was dried at home, I had bits hung everywhere for weeks. The house feels rather empty now.

The rest of the wedding included blush roses and n**e tones coupled with plenty of pampass grass and dried foliage. I'll share more soon!

One bridesmaid? Two? How about 8?! That's what one of our recent couples has decided for next year. I can't wait to make those!!!

I love making bridal party bouquets. Each wedding is unique, each bouquet has a recipe that is not replicated in any other of our weddings. Those flower combinations and placements are used for your wedding only. I love that, knowing I've made something just for you. Nobody else.
