Part Time Job Opportunity:
Pod Perfector & Gift Shop Sales Assistant – Glamping Site
The Role:
We are looking for someone to provide a proactive and responsive cleaning and turn around service for our Glamping & Wedding Venue. We need part time help to get the units ready for new visitors.
Duties will include general cleaning, changing bedding, hoovering, cleaning windows, refilling drinks stands etc.
You will also be required to clean the toilet and shower block, and you will need to tidy the outdoor communal spaces, empty BBQ’s and remove rubbish etc. There may sometimes be a small amount of DIY required during quiet spells, gardening or painting etc.
Our new team member may also be asked to help take care of our Wedding Yurts, by cleaning them and the toilet block for the big day and again after the event, setting them up ready for the event and checking for damage and problems too.
Much of the work will be outdoors, some light lifting may be involved, and your work will involve lots of walking, mostly on gravel which may need to be a consideration.
One shift will be working in our new onsite gift shop, where you will be responsible for keeping it tidy, stocked, and interesting to look at. You will be managing the till and cashing up, you will be serving customers and pricing new stock.
You would be working with another team member, but also alone. Extra hours covering holidays will be available. As we are in a rural location, your own transport is preferred.
The Hours:
Saturday 9.30am to 2pm – Glamping site – 4.5hrs
Sunday 9.30am to 2pm – Glamping Site – 4.5hrs
Monday 9.45am to 3.15pm – Gift Shop – 5.5hrs (day of week could be negotiable)
14.5 hours total
About You:
We are looking for a motivated and organised individual to work year-round, in wind rain and shine to do what it takes to get the job done. We are looking for someone who thinks on their feet and is proactive. We need a team player to expand our team.
The work is time sensitive and therefore requires a degree of organisation, as well as being personable, as you may have to interact with guests.

In return for your hard work, we are offering a starting wage of £10.20 - £10.50 per hour (depending on age) for the first 3 months’ probation, increasing thereafter. Holidays will be pro rata. You will get a discount in the Gift Shop and Farm Café as a team member.

About Us:
We are a small but busy Glamping & Wedding Site on the edge of York, we have 8 Glamping Pods, a sleeping Yurt and a Cabin along with 2 large Event Yurts which are predominantly for weddings.
We have a high standard of cleanliness and pride ourselves on our guest’s experience. We are a small, team run business, and work alongside other small businesses on site to create the perfect place to stay.
