🌟✨ A wonderful part of our job is getting the opportunity to explore beautiful regions in France. 🇫🇷 On this particular trip, we explored Cassis in South of France, during the October season which is a perfect time to travel through Provence and the French Riviera. 💫 We are often asked what is the best period to experience the best of what Southern France has to offer, so here are some top tips from us: 1️⃣ Time that lavender: While many people associate lavender fields with Provence, you will need to get your timing right! Lavender blooms in June and July, so plan your visit accordingly to witness the vibrant purple landscapes. For the most accurate bloom forecasts, consider reaching out to the tourism offices of specific towns in advance 2️⃣ Bank holiday issues: If you plan to get married in July, keep in mind that the 14th July is a bank holiday and not many people will be working on that day! 3️⃣ Mark your calendars: August is the driest month but also the hottest month. If you envision to have your wedding then, have a contingency plan in case of heatwave 4️⃣ September and October: These are great months to explore or get married I. South of France; these months typically brings pleasant, mild weather with cooler temperatures compared to the summer months. Plus the peak tourist season has passed by the end of September, so you’ll encounter fewer crowds at popular attractions and enjoy a more relaxed and authentic experience. Last but not least it is better value: venues, suppliers and accommodation will have more affordable prices during the shoulder season. Wandering around Chateau Pordor you can really see the potential for an incredible wedding for your big day. The tranquility of the lake, the dining hall packed with character and the theatre, which makes the perfect backdrop for you to party the night away, creates a spectacular flow to your party.
