No 2 days are ever the same here at the PRCPA! Today we have welcomed this wonderful elephant costume! Created by a very talented follower and donated to us so it doesn’t end up going to waste, our full time students are already planning how they might be able to use it in their upcoming productions ❤️

We would like to ask all audience members attending tonight’s performance of The Ladies' College Les Miserables to please follow the advice and guidance of Bailiwick Law Enforcement and drive carefully to and from the PRCPA, being mindful of flood water on the roads. As you enter and leave our carpark, please be aware there is still standing water. We ask that you drive slowly and look out for pedestrians and other vehicles. Our caretaker will be present in the carpark to help where necessary.

Ongoing rainfall is continuing to cause surface flooding in different places across the island. Some roads are now being closed but many others are partially flooded.

Services across the public sector – Guernsey Water, Guernsey Fire & Rescue Service, States Works, Traffic & Highway Services and Police – are responding to these various areas and prioritising the most urgent matters to see what can be quickly cleared, but both Guernsey Water and JESCC are being inundated with calls from members of the public.

We’d ask people not to call in for matters relating to this unless it is an emergency, so that we can continue to coordinate work to clear blockages and flooding and only deal with urgent or emergency calls.

We’d also ask people to not drive into flood water to attempt to get through, as at the moment a number of areas are impassable with very deep water, and we’re aware that there are a number of cars that have already become stuck in standing flood water.

We know that the worst areas at the moment are:
Les Baisseres
Pont Vaillant
Route de la Ramee
Route des Sages
Talbot Valley
The roads around St Andrews Church

If your journey isn’t urgent or necessary, consider whether you need to head out on the roads at the moment.

What an awful day! Our entrance way and carpark is currently experiencing some localised, significant flooding so if you are coming to the PRCPA today, please do drive slowly and carefully through. Due to the flooding, speed bumps may not be immediately visible and puddles are deeper than they may appear. As always, many thanks for your consideration and we look forward to welcoming you into the warm and dry when you get here!

Here at the PRCPA, we want to ensure everyone who wants to access theatre, events and screenings can. With that in mind, we now have 5 pairs of ear defenders that are available to borrow if you feel the sounds and noises of a show may be a bit too much for you. All you need to do is ask our friendly bar staff. We are proud to recognise the Hidden Disability Sunflower so if there’s anything else we can do to ensure your time spent here is as enjoyable as possible, please don’t hesitate to let us know 🌻

Today is Purple Tuesday 💜

Purple Tuesday is an annual event dedicated to promoting accessibility and inclusivity for disabled consumers. This day serves as a reminder of the importance of making businesses and public spaces more accessible to individuals with disabilities, including physical, sensory, and cognitive impairments. Purple Tuesday encourages organisations to take steps toward improving their accessibility and ensuring that disabled customers can enjoy equal access to products, services and experiences.

Here at the PRCPA we have installed Navilens QR codes at specific points around the venue. These special codes, along with an app, can be used by visually impaired people to help navigate around a space, giving them accurate distance information to a specific point.
