Martin Christopher Glin was born and raised in the U.S. The son of C.D. and Evelene Glin. He traveled the world early in life, as his father was in the U.S. Air Force. The second youngest of 6 children from his mother and father. He was raised with a sense of pride in his Black heritage.

Growing up as a teen in New Orleans, Louisiana, he studied and was influenced by the writings and teachings of such great leaders as Booker T. Washington, Dr. Frances Cress Welsing, Dr. Ivan Van Sertima, Malcolm X., Marcus Garvey and more. He developed a burning passion for changing the condition of black people in America.

As an education major at The University of New Orleans, he became aware of the negatives of the education system in America. He soon switched his interest to economics and business. Martin is a serial entrepreneur.

For over 25 years he has owned and managed businesses in various industries, from real estate, transportation, and tax preparation, to entertainment and promotion.

Through these many businesses, he has created jobs and helped establish other black business owners in the black community in Alabama. Martin has always viewed business as a way for black people to economically empower themselves and build sustainable communities.

As a lover and student of history, Martin was aware of the glory of the African continent being the cradle of civilization and spirituality. But like many, he felt a disconnect from the continent and Africans born there. Not knowing from which African country or tribe your ancestry is linked leaves a void in your heart.

This was his pain. And to have so many unanswered questions like how could our brothers not attempt to rescue us from slavery, or how could our brothers work with colonizers to enslave us? How did this happen? Why did this happen? Do Africans see us as brothers? Why do they come to America and not associate with us? Reading books was not enough.

Martin and his wife Sabrina, established The S.E.E.D of LIFE, an organization that teaches economic empowerment and cultural awareness. In 2019 Martin and his wife Sabrina founded Masternomics LLC., a company that teaches entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and personal development. In 2020, Martin Connected with Tengol K Kplemani and they founded THE TASTE OF AFRIKAwere

As their bond grew, Martin began feeling a sense of urgency and a spiritual calling to go to the African continent, a place where his ancestors were left in chains. In 2022, Martin made his first trip to Ghana, his first time on the African continent. His life would never be the same.

Visiting the slave castles (dungeons) in Cape Coast, learning how his foreparents were kidnapped and treated as cattle and stripped of their culture and way of life. Several trips followed after his initial trip.

With each trip, his cultural and spiritual connection increased. Talking to elders, chiefs and historians, Martin gained a better understanding of the methods used by colonizers to disconnect continental Africans from their brothers and sisters that had been scattered throughout the diaspora.

There was a conscious effort to purposely miseducate both the colonized and the enslaved about each other. Martin and Tengol made great strides to establish The Cultural Oneness Festival, along with investing in agriculture in northern.

The Taste Of Afrika defied the odds and brought Chiefs together in Northern Ghana for the first annual Cultural Oneness Festival in December 2023. Martin spoke at the Business Forum section of the Festival and outlined the vision for connecting African Americans to their ancestral homeland through tourism, and investment opportunities to help develop the communities in the region.

After the festival, His Royal Highness, Tolon Naa Alhaji Rtd. Major Sulemana Abubakari, Paramount Chief of Tolon Traditional Council, enskinned Chief Martin Chris Glin as Suรฑ Naa of Tolon Traditional Area and he has been given a vast land for the construction of his palace and integration into the community as a Royal. Martin has returned to the land of his ancestors.

The chains of physical and mental slavery have been removed. He has returned through the Exit and back to his roots as a Chief. Martin Chris Glin, Chief Suรฑ Naa is committed to connecting Diasporans such as himself back to their ancestral homeland.

This connection is mental, physical, and spiritual.
Businesses, homes, and schools of business must be established in the northern region to help better the livelihood of the residents. As a global investor, Martin sees these investment opportunities as a way to connect us as one people beyond greatness.

Cultural Oneness Festival Executives Meet Principal Director of US-Based Plan B Agency to Plan The Festivalโ€™s 2nd Edition
___________________________________________________

Accra, Ghana - On August 31st, executives from The Taste Of Afrika, organizers of the Cultural Oneness Festival, met with executives from the US-based Plan B Agency at Afrikiko to plan ahead of the festival's second edition. The meeting marked a significant milestone in the preparations for the upcoming event, scheduled for November 13-16 in Northern Ghana.

The Cultural Oneness Festival, a celebration of African culture, tradition, music and arts, aims to promote cultural exchange, unity and economic growth in Northern Ghana and beyond. The second edition promises to be an exciting experience, featuring an impressive lineup of local and international performers.

During the meeting, the executives discussed:

- Marketing strategies to reach a broader audience
- Potential partnerships and collaborations
- Logistics and event production
- Cultural tourism and heritage
- Showcasing Northern Ghana's rich cultural heritage to Africa, Diaspora and beyond

The partnership with Plan B Agency brings international expertise and resources to the festival, ensuring a world-class experience for attendees. The meeting at Afrikiko demonstrated the commitment of both parties to making the Cultural Oneness Festival a resounding success.

Rashid Bahati, Principal Director for Plan B Agency, said the partnership is intended to build collaborations between creatives in Africa and the Diaspora in order to harness the talents and young creative minds on the continent of Africa and beyond.

He added that as part of the agenda, Plan B Agency and The Taste Of Afrika collectively will make the necessary arrangement to engage the youth of both America and Africa respectively in cultural tourism to promote growth, development and cultural identity.

"The Plan B agency has already been executing projects with other brands like FESPACO in Burkina Faso. I understand that in November Cultural Oneness Festival will be happening in Northern Ghana. I plan to come back and explore the possibilities and see first-hand.โ€, Rashid Bahati stated.

On the other hand, Tengol K. Kplemani, Executive Director for The Taste Of Afrika, speaking to the press said, โ€œthere are a lot of young people in the US craving for African cultures and African identity. And if we can have a bridge of US youth and the Ghanaian and African youth engage in programs that they can do together to understand the dynamics of both cultures, itโ€™ll go a long way to help both continents.

"We are excited to collaborate with Plan B Agency to elevate the Cultural Oneness Festival to new heights. Together, we will create an unforgettable experience that celebrates African culture and promotes unity..โ€.

The second edition of the Cultural Oneness Festival is expected to attract a larger audience and feature an impressive lineup of performers in the area of cultural heritage and tourism, street carnival, durbar, culture and arts exhibition, fashion, youth empowerment workshop, and musical concert.

With the combined efforts of The Taste Of Afrika and Plan B Agency, the event is poised to become a flagship celebration of African culture in Ghana and beyond. Mark your calendars for November 13-16 and get ready to experience the richness of Ghanaian, African and Diasporian culture in Northern Ghana!

The Palace in Nalerigu, the traditional seat of the overlord of Mamprusi Kingdom, is a center of cultural activities in the region.

NaYiri literally means โ€œChiefโ€™s Houseโ€ in Mampruli (Naaba = Chief + Yiri = house]. Therefore, every village has a Naa Yiri or Chiefโ€™s house.

However, in Nalerigu the overlord (King) is referred to as the NaYiri because he embodies the institution that is in the Chieftaincy.

Ahead of the 2nd edition of the Cultural Oneness Festival, Nayiri (real name Naa Bohugu Mahami Abdulai Sheriga), the overlord of the Mamprusi Kingdom, on April 22nd 2024 received a team from The Taste Of Afrika led by Tengol K. Kplemani.

World Trade Market (WTM) Africaโ€™s Responsible Tourism Awards spotlighted champions in the space for initiatives truly making a difference on April 11, 2024 in Cape Town, South Africa.

The primary goal of WTM Africaโ€™s Responsible Tourism award is to unearth, acknowledge, and promote good practice.

These are the reasons that the judges chose to recognise these businesses and organisations including Cultural Oneness Festival organised by The Taste Of Afrika in the WTM Africa Responsible Tourism Awards.

The judges of WTM Africaโ€™s Responsible Tourism awards tipped Cultural Oneness Festival as โ€œOne to Watchโ€. Below are the words used to describe Cultural Oneness Festival on the official website of WTM Africaโ€™s Responsible Tourism awards.

โ€œThe purpose of the Cultural Oneness Festival is to unite the continental Africans and diasporans as one people by celebrating Africaโ€™s diverse heritage while emphasizing its shared cultural identity beyond linguistic and tribal differences, to foster unity and to celebrate the richness of the world's most culturally diverse continent.

โ€œThe festival seeks to identify and promote investment opportunities for Diasporans to empower the communities of Northern Ghana and beyond economically. The judges were impressed by the idea and look forward to seeing it again with evidence of impact.

This yearโ€™s Cultural Oneness Festival is themed โ€˜Leveraging on our Strength for Shared Growth and Prosperity as One Peopleโ€™. It has been scheduled to take place at Tamale in the Northern Region from November 13 -16, 2024.

Cultural Oneness Festival is expected to contribute to fostering mutual understanding and consolidating unity while developing and growing the tourism industry and attracting investment.

And for the first time, Cultural Oneness Festival intends to bridge the gap by connecting the Diasporans whenever they visit the various exit points in Cape Coast via Castles back to their roots in the Northern part of Ghana via the various slavery camps.
