GENERATIOINAL UPRISING KREW (G.U.K) is an NGO made up of Artists, Publicists, Marketers, Actors, etc. and a musical band formed in 2010 by two high school friends namely Doe Kwabla Nyamadi(aka TIVAI) and Courage Adzaku(aka WYSEMAN). In four years, they have had a number of successful reggae/ dancehall and Afro-pop songs. G.U.K formed in 2010 recorded their first song titled “Kaafo”,an Afro-pop son
g which received a lot of airplays and some popularity, they further recorded songs such as “Go Green Go Veg”, “Tell me Why”, “Soul to Soul”, “Try Again”, “Have you been there” “Call Me”, “Homowo”, “Club Revival”, ‘Azorli-gbogbo” “Blessing” and the like, to mention a few. They have made several appearances on huge platforms in Ghana with their superb stage craft. They are currently working on their debut Studio Recording Album and have since been criticized as being overly reggae and pop-influenced. All the members of the band reside in Ghana Presently. In this period, a new member (Nii Commey) who is a lead Guitarist joined the band. G.U.K is currently working with both famed and upcoming producers and has recorded four songs with Moxkito at Moxflex Studios, resulting in the release of their critically acclaimed controversial song ‘Have you been there’ which was released on 7th June 2014. They are planning to collaborate with both local and Foreign Artistes such as Knii Lante, Duane Stephenson, Tarrus Railey, Morgan Heritage, I-Wayne Capleton, Queen Ifrica, Etana, Kojo Antwi, Gyadu Blay Amboulley and many more. They also have plans of touring and staging shows worldwide when the debut Album is completed. After several years working on solo projects before forming the band, they have built individual experiences which add to their brand, authenticity and distinguished work record. G.U.K compose and record songs in six languages and dialects namely English, Ewe, Ga, Twi, Swahili, Latin. With Hardwork and dedication, the band is set to thrill their fans with amazing showmanship on their upcoming musical shows. They have also decided to give back to the society, especially the less privileged and handicapped, a donation in a form of cash or kind, which is part of their yearly budgetary allocation. This album sounds a bit more reggae, pop, catchy and polished, made to attract a mass audience, thus most of their songs are being aired on radio stations in African Countries and other countries across the globe such as UK, USA and the like. The Band is currently on set, ready to shoot two music videos, taken from their upcoming Album titled “UNTOLD TRUTH” The World should watch out for a mind Blowing Musical Band
