|| Life In Hope ||

This photo ignites some glitter in my eyes when I look at it. Not only does the tree symbolise life, but also the rays of sunlight filtering through the leaves and finding its way onto the old man and the low lying grass, highlights a sense of energy, power and positivity.

Remember the tree needs sunlight for photosynthesis to produce oxygen for all lives. Sunlight provides vitamin D to mankind.

Sometimes hope is all we have, and to lose that is to lose all.
The little drops of sunlight filtering through the leaves, sparking energy and positivity, the tree working behind the scene to reproduce oxygen to sustain life.

This picture depicts how life is becoming when in the long run no one knows tomorrow, but we just have to keep hope alive because despite circumstances, there are forces working to our advantage.

Flooding Caused by the Akosombo Dam Spillage, Mepe- North Tongu District, Volta Region Ghana.

In the month of October 2023, the Volta River Authority (VRA) initiated a controlled release of water from the Akosombo Dam. This measure was taken to safeguard the dam from potential overtopping. The increased water flow in the Volta River has, unfortunately, led to flooding in low-lying areas along its course, impacting communities such as Mepe, Battor, Sogakope Mafi, Adidome, Ada, and others.

Reports from the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in Ghana indicate that more than 26,000 individuals have been displaced by these floods. For many, it has resulted in the loss of homes, possessions, and livelihoods. Additionally, the floods have left a trail of damage, affecting vital infrastructure like roads, bridges, and schools.

We had the opportunity to teach and train people how to start a tshirt printing business at a minimum budget.
