Kunta Kinteh International Book Festival 2022

The event is scheduled for 14, 15, and 16 October 2022 at Alliance Francaise Banjul from 3 to 10 p.m.

The book festival is an annual literary, artistic, cultural, and creative arts event bringing together new and established writers from across The Gambia and Africa to promote, develop and celebrate creativity on the African continent in various genres. icell, and the National Center for Arts and Culture (NCAC), with funding from the French Institute of Senegal, wishes to invite you to the Kunta Kinteh International Book Festival 2022. The KKIBF will include an exhibition of Gambian books, a hall of fame for Gambian literature, the autographing of books, keynote addresses, spoken word poetry, dramas, fashion, and musical performances. We discovered that The Gambia is home to many talented young people in the fields of arts, education, literature, theater, and poetry. That’s not all– we are going to award the Gambia Prize for Literature to the Gambia’s best poets, novelists, playwrights, historians, spoken word poets, intellectuals, and many more… Come out in your large numbers to witness a large exhibition of Gambian books.
