A breathtaking view and an amazing cultural mix of Carribean, Mauritian and Indian heritage - we tried to honor the culture and tradition at this sentimental and joyful wedding celebration of Nadia and Giovanni.

We split this lovely wedding celebration into two design zones- a white classy wedding ceremony setup followed by a colorful floral and fruity setup for the reception to mark the switch of vibe from sentimental to festive.

What an amazing planning project with a Greek- US- Korean couple - we worked together for almost 2 years (!!!) to secure the venue of their dreams and every detail as imagined.
What I keep?
- Their smiles and happy attitude at every contact - as you can guess, we became friends!
- The details we included to pay tribute to both their cultural heritages- Greek handmade ceramics and wedding favors and pairs of Korean ducks hidden in the Chocolate bar
- The "Chocolate bar" !!! A chocolicious heaven!
- The view, ah the view I cannot get enough of, no matter how often I visit this place.

An amazing learning experience from last season when I was called to stage a Pye-Baek, a Korean Wedding tradition.
I was rewarded by the bride's father nodding and bowing approvingly - we did it.
The ceremony consists of a series of traditional bows and honoring the elders with a small tea ceremony and blessings and words of wisdom from their part to the couple.
The fun parts of the ceremony are
*catching chestnuts and dates to see how many boy and girls the couple will have!
*biting a date - he/she who gets the core will be the "boss" in this marriage
* the groom takes the bride for a piggy back ride to show his strength and excitment!
