Being in love with music his whole life, Giorgos Derekopoulos joined the Club scene, in 2004, as a DJ and became known as Sunset Derek. As a teenager ,the musical influences that he received at that time, and in particular the ’90s, along with his passion for collecting vinyl’s, cassette’s and cd’s from HipHop,Rock,Metal,Rave,Trance,House worked catalytically.. r his Dj career he started experimenting with his own music production and in 2010 his first official release comes out from The Sound Of Everything records . Then he collaborates with Royal Events and paves the way for weekly parties in several hot venues of Athens at that time such as Sixx, Mamacas, Animal, Dybbuk, Akrotiri, Drazel, Boutique and with a lot’s of guest performances all over the Greece and Cyprus. The summer of 2022 was great for him with 50 events in many places of Greece with peaks in Mykonos at Void club along with Alec Monopoly and in Limassol,Cyprus at LMF festival with 8.000 people. It has over 30 releases in Greek and foreign labels such GoDeeva,Frisky and more. He has shared the decks with worldwide dj’s such as Nicole Moudaber, Kiko Navarro, Martin Roth, Daniel Bortz, Kenny Karpenter and acclaimed Greeks. bookings:[email protected]
