Welcome July! This is the Santorini Film Festival month at the HFP and we couldn't be more excited.🦐

The 7th SFF boasts a rich programme of screenings and educational workshops highlighting the power of cinema.

Under the theme 'Dyadic All', four programmes of short and feature films by emerging Greek and international filmmakers focus on the multifaceted nature of existence and the contradictions we find in all things around us.

The Stockholm Independent Film Festival 2024 was a blast. ✨✨ Super excited and honoured to have so many amazing filmmakers from around the world joining us and sparking amazing conversations with our incredible audience.

We head to Denmark and Sweden for the Annual Aarhus Film Festival 2024 and the Stockholm Independent Film Festival 2024 respectively.

A few snapshots from this year's Arctic Film Festival in Longyearbyen. Excited to have with us on stage at the Nordover the explorer & polar ambassador Hilde Fålun Strøm and the ecologist & science communicator Larissa Thelin introducing the documentary 'Violet, a Polar Bear' and sharing their insights about polar bears tracking in the . On the second day, at our favourite Kulturhuset, we saw familiar faces, met old friends and made new ones! 🩵

It's the time of the year we head to Longyearbyen, Svalbard for the Arctic Film Festival, the world's northernmost independent film festival and one of HFP's most unique events.🔥

This year is extra special as we inaugurate our collaboration with Nordover, the world's northernmost art centre.

On February 9-10, HFP's 2024 Budapest Independent Film Festival took place. And what an amazing film festival that was!

✨We are beyond honoured and excited to have had filmmakers from all four corners of the earth - from Mexico and Belgium to Czechia and Hungary- joining us. Over two days we celebrated indie cinema in a jam-packed cinema hall amongst a mixed audience of local and international cinephiles.

A big thank you to the Embassy of Mexico in Hungary - Embajada de México en Hungría - for their support and their presence at BIFF 🙏🏼

Time to start the 2024 festival season ✨ First stop, Prague where will take place the 5th edition of the Prague Film Awards 2024.

On 26&27 January we will be at the Kino Aero screening 24 indie shorts and feature films by Czech and international filmmakers.

Can't wait to welcome again a mixed audience of cinephiles, film school students and filmmakers.

Excited that one of our programming team members, Pelin Çılgın, has been selected to participate in the prestigious Berlinale Talents programme at the Berlin International Film Festival!

A Turkish film critic, curator, creative, and scholar, Pelin is currently pursuing their master's studies in Film and Television at Istanbul Bilgi University. Their film criticism has been published mainly in Turkish on the Turkish online cinema platform Bağımsız Sinema, with recent English reviews and other film articles published on Cineuropa, among others.

Last week, took place the 6th edition of the Athens Short Film Festival, one of our most beloved film festivals. For three days, Mikrokosmos Cinema brimmed with cinephiles, filmmakers, industry professionals, old friends and new faces.

Many thanks to our sponsors Tony's Chocolonely Gr by Premium Brands, Wild Souls and Malv Pineapple for adding a dash of extra taste and sparkle to our festival with their goodies✨

We'd also like to thank Κινηματογράφος Μικρόκοσμος / Mikrokosmos Cinema for hosting our festival once again, the filmmakers who travelled from various countries to join us and all the people who filled the cinema's halls for three days!

We are more than grateful and happy to have shared this unique cinematic experience with such an amazing audience and that our first three-day ASFF was sold out three days in a row!

HF Productions is evolving as we enter a new era. We are super excited and proud to announce that we will be named HFP moving forward with a new brand identity which aims to encompass our vision and show the company's innovation and growth 🌍

🦍Our decision to keep the gorilla as our logo but in a new more dynamic design derives from the fact that we still remain loyal to the company's core values but we are now stronger, bigger and more confident in moving forward and building a filmmaking community that empowers all its members. Of course, the iconic red dot, reminiscent of a recording button, couldn't be missing from the HFP logo as it signifies our fundamental belief that it all starts with a filmmaker capturing the moment.

HFP's new fresh and vibrant colour palette reflects our team's energetic spirit, creativity and decisiveness. The Santorini Film Festival 2023 is less than a month away and we can't wait for the 6th edition to kick off 🦐

📌On 13 July we show young cinema lovers the magic of the moving image with a creative animation workshop at the amazing Tomato Industrial Museum - Vlychada on the otherworldly Vlychada beach.
📌 On 14 July we head to the postcard-perfect open-air Cinekamari Santorini
for a night filled with international independent film screenings.

HFP’s newest team member, Nikos Gravanis 🙌

📃 Holding an MA in Art, Aesthetics and Cultural Institutions from the University of Liverpool, Nikos is an art theorist with a background in the philosophy of art and film theory.

🎞After obtaining experience in film festivals and art galleries curating multiple art projects and exhibitions in Greece and abroad, Nikos recently joined HFP as a Film Festival Assistant.

📕 When he is not travelling to make sense of the world, you will most probably find him hidden behind philosophy and art theory books. To increase your chances of meeting him search in an Athenian open-air cinema where he will be watching the best of independent filmmaking, or in an art exhibition taking notes.

During ' Film Festivals, you'll see him all around taking care of all the small and large details that guarantee that everything runs smoothly prior to, during and after the Festival.

We couldn't have wished for a warmer welcome at the Stockholm Independent Film Festival 2023.

May 26&27 found us at the historic Zita Folkets Bio along with Tony's chocolonely, filmmakers, our beloved volunteers and an enthusiastic international cinephile audience.

The heartwarming welcome fueled our plans to further expand our festival in both duration and events starting in next year’s edition ✨

🍫We were more than happy to have Tony’s chocolonely top-notch chocolate bars garnish our Film Festival not only because they added an extra dash of colour and taste but also because we value their mission for slave-free chocolates.

📃 Born and raised in Athens, Aliki has lived and worked in over 5 countries always on the lookout for new experiences and challenges. With an academic and professional background in journalism, media and film studies, she has been juggling her interests in writing, communications and event management working in various in Greece and abroad.

🎞With over 10 years of working experience, Aliki became HF Productions' Media and Communications Coordinator to use her skills to spread the organization’s vision around the globe.

🎥 A cinephile herself, when she doesn’t travel to see the world’s cultures firsthand, she binge-watches documentaries of all modes.

During ' Film Festivals, you'll see her walking around with her camera capturing the event with her lens or sparking a conversation with people in the foyer while savouring a glass of wine.
