He prefers a freestyle mix of genres, but is more influenced by Jazz/Funk/House. Even when playing a set of a specific genre, he strives to be as freestyle as constraints allow, and usually dislikes over-specific genre-titles. Rather than being a "House DJ" or "Techno DJ" he prefers being a "Whatever's Good DJ". Being an active dancer/choreographer/yoga-teacher, he has a strong sense of what makes bodies and minds move.

So, at http://djrankings.org/DJ-ROWAN_THORPE I am apparently presently ranked 8290 in the world as a DJ... That site ranks the top 10000 DJs in the world (ten thousand may seem a big number, but from an approximate 1.25 million DJs in the world, that is the top 0.8%). Their "about" text includes things like the following:
