Χριστουγεννιάτικος Στολισμός με Χαμόγελα και Αισιοδοξία!
Η εθελοντική ομάδα της CONVIN, οι CONVincers, που δημιουργήθηκε με στόχο να ενισχύει δράσεις κοινωνικής προσφοράς, πραγματοποίησε την πρώτη της επίσκεψη στην ΕΛΕΠΑΠ. Με μεγάλη χαρά, στολίσαμε μαζί με τα παιδιά ένα πανέμορφο χριστουγεννιάτικο δέντρο, ενώ προσφέραμε εκπαιδευτικά παιχνίδια που γέμισαν την ατμόσφαιρα με χαμόγελα και αισιοδοξία.
Το μεγαλύτερο δώρο για εμάς ήταν η αγνή χαρά των παιδιών και η μοναδική εμπειρία της ξενάγησης στους χώρους του οργανισμού. Από την ειδικά διαμορφωμένη πισίνα έως τις αίθουσες αποκατάστασης, το έργο της ΕΛΕΠΑΠ μας συγκίνησε βαθιά και ενίσχυσε τη δέσμευσή μας για προσφορά.

Οι CONVincers δημιουργήθηκαν για να στηρίζουν, να μοιράζονται και να προσφέρουν με αγάπη. Με την αλληλεγγύη και τη συνεργασία, μπορούμε να κάνουμε τον κόσμο λίγο καλύτερο – ειδικά για τα παιδιά μας. Μαζί, δημιουργούμε στιγμές χαράς και προσφοράς🌟🎄

The 18th International Conference on Document Analysis and Recognition (ICDAR 2024) brought together experts and innovators from around the globe. From August 30 to September 4, 2024, the conference illuminated the crucial role of digital transformation in enhancing modern authorship through Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

Co-organized by the esteemed National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos”, a beacon of research and innovation for over 50 years, and the Athena Research Center, known for its cutting-edge work in information technologies, ICDAR 2024 welcomed more than 450 participants from various disciplines.

Under the theme "Sciences and Practices Involved in Document Analysis and Recognition," the conference featured inspiring keynotes from renowned experts. Professor Jürgen Schmidhuber, a luminary in the field of AI, delivered a captivating opening keynote. His pioneering work in deep learning and neural networks has profoundly shaped the landscape of artificial intelligence. From August 26 to 30, 2024, Limassol, Cyprus, played host to EuroSun 2024—the ISES and IEA SHC International Conference on Sustainable and Solar Energy for Buildings and Industry. This prestigious event was a collaborative effort between the International Solar Energy Society and the IEA Solar Heating and Cooling Programme, and we are proud that CONVIN had the opportunity to organize this important congress abroad!
The conference showcased the latest innovations and research in sustainable energy, featuring esteemed keynote speakers, engaging technical sessions, and workshops aimed at fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing among participants. 🌟 MIE 2024: Pioneering Innovations in Digital Health! 🏥💻

The 34th European Conference on Medical Informatics (MIE 2024), held from August 25-29 at the Eugenides Foundation in Athens, was a remarkable success, bringing together 780 delegates from 56 countries! This premier international event showcased cutting-edge advancements in Digital Health and Health Informatics, addressing the urgent need for sustainable health systems amid global challenges.

The conference featured 341 oral presentations, 85 posters, and 700 submissions across 12 thematic sessions, including Artificial Intelligence in Health, Telemedicine, and Public Health Informatics.

Keynote speakers, including Professor George Demiris and Professor Anne Moen, presented innovative strategies for empowering citizens with technology and improving health systems for the elderly. Their insights highlighted the critical interconnectivity of health information systems and the need for inclusivity in accessing health services.

🔬✨ ISCB45: Advancing Biostatistics in the Age of AI! 🌍

The 45th Annual Conference of Clinical Biostatistics (ISCB45), held from July 21-25 in Thessaloniki, marked a significant milestone in the field. With 770 delegates from 40 countries, this premier event showcased the vital role of biostatistics in medicine and public health.

Under the theme "Methods Development and Practical Application of Statistics," the conference featured 531 submitted papers, 160 oral presentations, and 274 poster presentations across 24 key topics, including clinical trials and survival analyses. Noteworthy keynote speakers, Sir David Spiegelhalter and Professor Chris Holmes, emphasized the importance of ethical data communication and the transformative impact of AI on biostatistics.

The dedicated session on big data’s role in medical science and its innovative applications generated rich discussions among leading statisticians, clinicians, and students, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange.

As the PCO of ISCB45 we successfully positioned Thessaloniki as a hub for scientific advancement in biostatistics. Together, we are shaping the future of health research! 💚📊

The International ORCA 2024 Congress was held from July 3-6 in the stunning city of Heraklion, Crete! Amid the peak tourism season, we brought together leading scientists and researchers in the field of oral health to discuss the latest advancements in dental caries. Featuring 170 presentations, 4 symposiums, and 3 roundtable discussions, ORCA 2024 was a key platform for global collaboration.

Participants also demonstrated community spirit through a CSR initiative, partnering with local volunteers for a cleanup in the Keri Forest, highlighting our commitment to both science and giving back to the beautiful island of Crete.

At CONVIN, we are proud to have organized the 17th Congress of the European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry (EAPD 2024) in Gothenburg, Sweden, from June 12-15, a shining example of how we bring European standards to conferences abroad.
