" Nice hotel where everything works, the staff really work to give their guests a perfect experience.
Stayed 4 nights on the 3rd floor at the front with a sea view in a lovely newly renovated room, especially the bathroom was top notch.
The area is very quiet and absolutely nothing happens here, we used the hotel as a starting point for visits to all the archaeological sites in the area, a car is a must. "

Happy Clean Monday! 🪁🌞

Today is Kathara Deftera, or Clean Monday, which marks the end of carnival in Greece and the beginning of Lent, the forty-day period leading up to Greek Orthodox Easter. You guessed it - that’s two reasons to celebrate! 🥳🎉

The day's traditions include sunbathing, kite-flying and, of course, feasting and dancing. The Philopappou area, from the upper part of Dionysiou Areopagitou Street to the Pnyx and the hill's cobbled streets, is one of the most popular areas to enjoy the day's festivities. The City of Athens is throwing an all-day panigiri (traditional Greek fiesta) in the area and everyone is invited!

Greek Orthodox Easter is a wonderful celebration. We wish you the best !

Step into the solemn atmosphere of Good Friday in Athens by following the atmospheric procession of Epitaphios 🌸💮 As per tradition, this wooden canopied bier that represents the tomb of Christ, is carried on the shoulders of devout churchgoers through the streets of every neighbourhood followed by crowds holding lit candles 🕯🕯 and whispering about how beautifully decorated their bier is compared to that of other parishes 😏😇 Pair this experience with a 360° view of Athens at the chapel of St. George on Lycabettus Hill, a visit to the church of Agios Dimitrios Loumbardiaris at Thission, or with a nighttime nature escape at the monastery of Penteli.
