“Raiment” as an expression of the soul

The exhibition of photographer Vangelis Kyris and embroidery artist Anatoli Georgiev is precisely that: an expression of the soul of people, in the macro- and microhistory of Greek society.

Undertaking the research, selection, and curation of the raiments that enriched Thessaloniki’s exhibition, was also a journey for SYMVOLI to the history of the land, its historical figures, the stories of societies, and everyday life.

Thanks to the Papageorgiou Foundation, we were honoured to coordinate, on all levels, a unique exhibition!

Watch the video to explore the narrative of this exhibition through the art of photography and embroidery, time and space, and be reminded of the diverse past of Greece through a medium familiar to all: the raiment.

Communications Manager | Conference & Cultural Projects

🔹Background and Qualifications:
- At least 2 years’ experience in communication/marketing.
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in the subject of media/communication/marketing.
- Excellent knowledge of English (an additional foreign language would be a plus).
- Well-developed computer skills.
- Knowledge of basic online marketing tools (WordPress, Joomla, Mailchimp)
- Social Media content creation, development, and monitoring of campaigns.
- Basic knowledge of design tools (Canva, Photoshop, etc.) and video/image editing skills.
- Excellent copywriting and presentation skills.

🔹Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to work with a holistic approach to different communication tools.
- Good understanding of the event management sector.
- Up to date with new trends in communication & marketing.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills.

🔹Typical Job Duties (both for projects and company):
- Design and implement communication campaigns.
- Website design & content management
- Social Media assets design, content management, and promotion
- Newsletter design, content management, and targeted audiences
- Assisting in conference & cultural projects’ implementation.

After the management of hallmark international events in the field of engineering, this year SYMVOLI undertook the organization of the 19th Panhellenic Concrete Conference. A remarkable conference, attracting more than 600 participants, professionals and academics and hosting 32 sponsors, exhibitors and supporting institutions for three days at the sunny foyer of Μέγαρο Μουσικής Θεσσαλονίκης / Thessaloniki Concert Hall.

The design and implementation of the exhibition "Raiment of the Soul", a collaboration between Papageorgiou Foundation and the National Bank of Greece Cultural Foundation (Μορφωτικό Ίδρυμα Εθνικής Τραπέζης - ΜΙΕΤ), gave us the opportunity to see Greek tradition through an unexpected prism.

We hope that it will work in the same way for those who visit!
So far, it seems to be going well!

Collaborating with Theophano Foundation all these years, to highlight the best of common European and universal values is more than inspiring; it’s electrifying.
This year has also been revealing: the power of will, the bravery of effort, and the joy of life that people with intellectual disabilities can showcase to the world.
