A graduate of The Juilliard School for classical violin and Berklee College of Music for jazz and music technology, she stands out as a true musician in the gritty electronic

music scene. She has played at clubs such as Fabric London and Cafe d’Anvers in Antwerp. Having grown up listening to jazz, she later found solace in Larry Heard, Prodigy, The Roots, Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin and Kraftwerk, which shaped her musical taste. She began collecting records in 2019 and now plays a mixture of vinyl and digital tracks weaving through varied genres from ambient and disco to breakbeat, acid and electro. Xiaolin sets dancefloors alight with her meticulous track selection and punchy yet dreamy flair. An avid synth collector, Xiaolin produces Cantonese-inspired music that pays homage to the past, often incorporating her own original violin and vocal samples.

Finally had couple days of rest & healing, total disconnect from rest of world.. been dealing w serious health issues last months, helped reset a little, thanks to the amazing team & .collective mates for the hospitality & care! Real chats had, perspective gained, reflected together on 2024 …what a rollercoaster it has been, don’t know where we heading. learning & enjoying the ride. 💜 just filled w love & openness this season, thankful for everyone who’s been generous with their time and energy, who’ve inspired with their music, everyone around near and far who have been patient and kind (I know have not been around much lately), for trusting and believing in this weirdly dynamic scifi dream world of XL, allowing space for us to exist and do our thing

2024 full immersion was a whirlwind time, a learning ground, a place to be present and surrender to the flow. Honoured to be on warmup duty for @428.soundwave stage with this amazing crew! Enfold healing ritual was also special. 🌸 thank you to those who came to support. Heartfelt gratitude to Ami, Yukiko, Mike, Masa, Miles, .jp , & rest of the 428 team for the care, .jpeg for trusting me at Enfold once again, .collective for the beautiful lights. Gutted to not manage to catch up with everyone I wanted to see or take many photos as was swept in the moment in this parallel world, but the collective spirit, love and energy was deeply felt. Inspired by many great sets and conversations…thank you, miss you all and hope to see you again soon~ somewhere, sometime.💜🪐🙇🏻‍♀️

Saigon what a week! Nothing but love and gratitude to .observatory team, for inviting and hosting during your residency period. This live sets sat night was something else.. everything from unique/dynamic sets, sound&lighting, riders, flow, atmosphere, and trippy sweaty collective energy on point from start to finish. Could not ask for more from an Obs weekend that began friday with ‘s exceptionally solid set for , closing out with beautiful sunday ambient bangers from & crew

💜🙏🏽 .bzb and to the 400+ dancers/friends who joined us from near and far.. really quite special wow~ still floating (though in bed with flu now sadly)

It also coincided with the full moon in Ta**us so particularly meaningful time to reflect, go star gazing, write music, make some (mediocre-looking) incense.. thanks for teaching me. live set prep can be a lot as it consists of only original music, but also freeing as it comes from the heart. 🩷 after a year of work (still long way to go) finally shaping up into 3 formats: “SUN” for disco/house euphoria, “MOON” for meditative journey, “BODY” for trippy nightclub energy.
