The concert series is titled A Journey of Hope - to invite the audience on a musical and reflective journey - to walk out of the COVID season into the new year with renewed hope, wonder and a belief that we will come out of it stronger and better together.

In this concert series, all ticket sales on 26 December will be donated to APA, whilst all proceeds from 27 December will be used for social causes under non-governmental organisations.

結合極簡音樂與冥想，鋼琴人張平與註冊藝術治療師Kit Shum透過 Bach 與 Glass 的作品帶領觀衆練習正念。

Combining minimalistic music and mindfulness, pianist Cheung Ping will perform works by J.S. Bach and Philip Glass while expressive arts therapist Kit Shum will guide meditation.

CHEUNG, Ping

Born in Hong Kong, Ping began studying piano and violin from the age of five. He furthered his music education at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts under the guidance of Nancy Loo, Amber Chum and Raymond Young. He also studied piano under the highly regarded pedagogue Bernd Goetzke in Germany, and views this as an important period in his pianistic development. In 2015, Ping was selected to be one of the promising Young Music Makers by Radio Television Hong Kong.

Starting from 2010, Ping has regularly performed in master classes by Sequeira Costa, Stephen Savage, Lee K*m Sing, Vanessa Latarche, Aquiles Delle Vigne, Peter Serkin and Fernando Garcia Torres. Ping was the recipient of the Molly McAulay Scholarship in 2016 and subsequently obtained his Master’s degree in Piano Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, studying under the tutelage of Gerrard Willems and Phillip Shovk.

Ping actively partakes in chamber music and formed the quartet Etoile which premiered in 2008. He was the artistic director and conductor of Arco Music Academy Chamber Orchestra in Sydney.

In 2014, Ping founded Rhythmic, a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing educational concerts for underprivileged children in Hong Kong.

SHUM, Kit

Kit is the founder of Kit Expressive Arts Therapy Center and holds a number of degrees including Master of Expressive Arts Therapy, Master of Behavioral Health and Bachelor of Education. Kit is also a registered teacher, yoga teacher, expressive arts therapist and a hypnotherapist holding workshops and course and individual therapy for more than 5000 people.

【有關受惠機構】
在這個資訊發達的年代，人們的關係看似熟悉但卻是很陌生。加上在抗疫疲 勞下，人際間的距離愈來愈遠，使人容易造成情緒困擾，甚至出現輕生念頭。 根據統計顯示，香港近年每日平均有 3 個人選擇自殺，走上不歸路。

自 1995 年成立的「生命熱線」，一直致力向有自殺傾向或有情緒困擾的人 士，提供益友及其他預防自殺的服務。現時本會 24 小時的預防自殺熱線， 每月處理高達 9,000 多個來電。由於本會為非政府資助的慈善機構，有賴社 會人士捐款支持，才能維持及發展各項服務。
