Just been told that there’s a new procedure at the marriage registry. So we now believe the latest we need to be engaged is now 2 months before the actual wedding (and that’s for a simple marriage).

For wedding planning, we need to be engaged latest 3 months before the wedding. 6 months still the industry norm.

In our industry, we work with different service providers but we simply will not recommend the following type of service providers to our clients:

1. Changing their prices after agreeing to it;
2. Unable to follow agreed wedding day plans;
3. Attention seeking on client’s wedding day by creating mini-dramas; and
4. Questionable or uncooperative attitude especially during client’s wedding day.

If service providers commit any one of the above, we will not let them to provide service to our clients in the future.

In our line of business, we all work towards a common goal and that is to provide a good and smooth wedding for our clients. While we accept there are different ways of doing things but not a sudden wholesome change just to cater for a service provider’s need.

We do accept Murphy’s Laws and hence we drill our service providers to ensure that they have back up plans in case we issues arise.

Because of all that, our wedding planning service has been valued by our customers and also reasons we have prestige clients.

Also to get married in HK, notice period is required. Sometimes the marriage registry requires 6 weeks notice in advance.

Currently our company is only providing celebrant service in Phuket, Thailand and the UK. For Hong Kong wedding, due to scheduling and also capacity, we source solicitors working in a law firm to provide the celebrant service.
