A great afternoon at La Rosa!

Small community event celebrating the Swiss struggle for independence in 1492 😳😉😎. What a great day with friends old and new. 🥰

La Rosa is available for private events - weddings, corporate events, quinceanera, birthday celebrations, etc. Full kitchen available along with kayaks (we are adjacent to the mangrove tunnels) and snorkeling from the dock over three reefs and a shipwreck. Freshwater showers and bathrooms/ changing rooms. And if you like we can even arrange a cook and a staff to serve you.

I've always liked sports analogies, especially when applying them to life. Sometimes great plays get interrupted and the game plan needs to adjust accordingly - And at this moment our life requires our game to focus our full attention elsewhere.

Moving forward, LaRosa Bar and Grill will be closed to the general public.

As we do have a business license for operation from the municipal, we will host special occasions and our venue will be available for private events, as well as service our vacation rental customers.

If you'd like to schedule a private event, please let us know.

We know the music festival is today... lots of cool artists and hundreds and hundreds of people.

The water is calm and we have access and parking for both boats and cars.

And the view is incredible.

Lisandro Cabrera will be starting in a little while and playing almost till sunset. Come on over and enjoy Island music and a phenomenal view of the bay and sunset.

Another beautiful day on the bay!

Been slayin' the lionfish off of the point (and Marisol's gonna be working on her lionfish dish - as I hope to be in the water more often), and right now it's flat enough for a snorkel out at the point of the reef.

Kayak's are out on the bay, we've got a nice breeze, and the water and jungle are beautiful. And tonight the moon's rising late and we get to appreciate how beautiful this dark sky in the bay really is.

Tomorrow afternoon we're gonna take ALL OF THAT and ADD Lisandro Cabrera playing in the afternoon starting at 2:30. He's one of the first people we saw play the first time we were here on vacation, and has been a friend since we met him.

P. S. We're not going to have our sign repaired so remember to turn on Jonesville Point Road and the smaller sign at Blue Lagoon Road. Hope to have that replaced very soon.

On Thursday we are excited to have music from Lisandro Cabrera , from 2:30 to 5:30.

Come on out and listen to local jams as the sun sets.

And Ms. Caron will be singing on Saturday!

Thank you all for coming today. It was an amazing day and we appreciate you spending your Saturday afternoon with us.

We also want to let everybody know that we're implementing more local feedback. We have had requests to be open on Sundays.

So our new hours and days are:
Wednesday through Sunday.
11:00 to 6-ish. The sun is starting to set late, so 11 to 6-ish ...You keep coming and we'll keep the kitchen open.

Next week we'll be busy: this coming Thursday we will have Lisandro Cabrera from 3:00 to 6:00, and Ms Caron Pennance absolutely loved everything about LaRosa and insisted to do an encore performance with her and Alex next Saturday, 3-6. We hope you can make it to one or both.

What a beautiful day!

The winds have died down and the bay is calm and all our friends with boats can come over and listen to Ms. Caron Pennance sing this afternoon 3:00 to 6:00 during Sunset Happy Hour.

Specials on frothy beverages and Gr**go Tacos!

Arrive early, and enjoy our super clean and peaceful bay. Snorkel the shipwreck or tabletop reef, and if there's enough interest, we might take a group to the point.

Full face and regular snorkel gear available, as well as kayaks. We are literally less than a few soccer fields from the entrance to the mangroves and the mangrove lagoon. Also, freshwater showers and a place to change.

And if you're coming by car, someone tore our sign up... So: Turn on Jonesville Point Road towards Terrachula/Czech Village, and then right on Blue Lagoon Road to the end.

To be honest that one was made in a hurry and I never liked it anyway 😎.

Kayaks, paddleboard, and snorkel and swim in our clean and beautiful bay! Small beach, beach chairs, jumping platform, freshwater showers and changing room, and gear wash.

Explore the sponges and corals on the shipwreck right of the dock or take a small swim to the reef. We're literally right at the end of the mangrove tunnels and mangrove lagoon!

Did we mention we have some great snorkeling in almost every direction with a short swim from our dock?
And we're right outside the Mangrove Lagoon/Tunnels?

La Rosa Bar and Grill is excited to welcome Melanie back to the island from her whirlwind North American tour. Melanie will be performing a few late afternoon sets of bossa nova and jazz with her lovely sax and vocals.

As a matter of fact, we're so excited we're going to break the space-time continuum and add another hour (that makes three!) to our sunset happy hour.

Come listen to Melanie sitting over our quiet and pristine bay as we watch the sun go down and the stars (and planets!) come out.

As an added bonus, there is a 50/50 chance we'll have Bloat (the blowfish), Barry (the barracuda) and/or Violet (the octopus) swing by while Mr. and Mrs. Eagleray leap out of the water as the sun sets.
