NAIROBI, KENYA

Now that’s we’re back in the UK, we just wished to share our gratitude and thoughts.

A month ago we had the privilege of hosting a party in Nairobi, Kenya alongside (with thanks to ), have a peek at our recent post to find out more!

The Nairobi underground scene is distinct and bubbling with a raw and exciting energy that permeates many different genres and communities.
The energy was palpable.
We are very privileged to have met & worked closely with so many passionate individuals, all with a clear compass towards building an authentic community within their unique underground scenes in Nairobi.
It was truly inspiring to see.

exemplify this communitarian with their parties built on a foundation of togetherness & positive vibrations.

must be mentioned here too, as their tireless efforts to create a positive cycle of education in music’s many skill pathways is vital to the longevity of the Nairobi scene.

& so many other brands, venues and artists continuously pushing towards a bright future for these powerful underground scenes.

Cult hero producer enigmatically fuses cornerstones of UK Bass genres with the colourful polyrhythmic sensitivities that surround his influence in Amman, Jordan. MC YALLAH has been active in the East African Rap scene for over two decades, her poetic and eclectic style keeping her way ahead of the curve. A core component of the Nyege Nyege family, YALLAH’s lyrics traverse rhymes in Luganda, Luo, Kiswahili & English - often paired with Debmaster’s gut-punching and off-kilter beats.

We cannot wait to host MC Yallah on our Nairobi show with on 7th December and of course at Outlook Origins 2025!

Croatia is calling...

Since 2008 Outlook has brought together music lovers from around the world to enjoy the best of sound system culture. The perfect combination of a quality music festival and a holiday, expect daytime beach sessions, unmissable boat parties as well as a nighttime programme unlike any other.

In 2020, Outlook Festival announced a brand new event; Outlook Origins. The event will take things back to where it all began for the festival and celebrate the artists, labels, parties and genres that for us have been integral in driving sound system culture forward.

Outlook Origins will be music for the heads. For 2021, the festival line-up is being carefully curated by a handful of the scene’s most influential artists and tastemakers. Linchpins in their respective genres, these curators will represent the key foundations that made Outlook Festival what is is: Dubstep, Dub & Reggae, Drum & Bass and Jungle and Grime. A festival line-up with our heroes leading the way; working side by side to ensure the sounds remain underground.
