The birth of a realtime party compass
I remember wandering in the middle of downtown Budapest at four in the morning surrounded by at least 50 places to go in just a little walk away from. Also, remember that I did not know where to go exactly. Who’s in? What kind of music? Drinks? People? Do I fit?
That was the point when I decided to solve this problem myself. For myself. Call me selfish I am fine with it :)
I was sure what I want. I wanted an application which could scan the area around me based on my profile preset. Venues popping up on the map with their feed with current videos. I would strongly emphasize here the word CURRENT. I wanted to know what is going on in the place at that moment.
So I started working on it. Talking to people about it. It turned out they liked it. It was their problem too. It was the reason I have spent four consecutive weekends from Friday night until the beautiful dawn of Monday. The only reason. No fun at all just hard work.
