Kelingking Beach is the kind of place you thought only existed in your dreams🌈It’s located on the island of Nusa Penida⛵️, but it might as well be on another planet🪐This nature here is out-of-this-world with dramatic cliffs and the most stunning powder-white beach✨Although, you have to make an effort to get here…It’s a challenging 45 minute hike down the steep cliffs, and you only have a rope to support yourself with in some parts⛰️But for me, that’s part of the adventure and the reward is the best beach in the entire world🤩

Nusa Penida is one of my favourite places in Indonesia and I truly feel that no (first) trip to Bali is complete without visiting this paradise island.

Send to someone who needs to see one of the most Instagramable beaches in the world. 🌏 🦖 Welcome to Kelingking Beach, more affectionately known as T-Rex beach on Nusa Penida Island off the coast of Bali, Indonesia.
You can see that the huge cliff that takes up most of Kelingking Beach resembles the shape of a Tyrannosaurus Rex or T-Rex with its jaws open. You’re able to take the steep, 1,000+ stairs all the way down to the beach but as you can imagine, coming back up is no easy feat, no matter your fitness level. 😅

The hike to Diamond Beach on Nusa Penida is well worth the effort as it will reward you with breathtaking views, pristine white sand, swaying palm trees, crystal-clear rock pools, and turquoise blue waters.
Tips to know before you go:
1. The best way to reach Diamond Beach is by hiring a private driver to take you around the east coast of Nusa Penida.
2. The hike down to the beach takes around 20 mins each way and is considered challenging with steep stairs and uneven terrain. But, if you’re short on time, the viewpoint overlooking the Diamond Beach can be easily reached without much effort.
3. It’s best to get there early in the morning, to avoid long lines and crowds
4. There is a small store selling water/coconut drinks, and snacks near the beach
5. A swing is available for photo ops along the beach for a small fee.
