Government offices are associated with official activities that are unique to their use. This research looks into the idea of utilising the roof of one of the office buildings in the Pendopo region of Sidoarjo Regency as a public green space.

The pendopo's philosophy is that it is a receiving room, therefore when the original roof, which is a shield roof without activities, is used for a green people's space, it will be close to the pendopo's genuine philosophy.

A coworking space in the shape of a green roof garden, with generating wind, solar energy, and recycled rainwater for irrigation, is one possibility. The big idea is to re-generate electrical energy for energy-hungry office demands while also becoming a shared facility for the general public.

Bella Maria Sunjaya's work, Socio Greenerator, is an idea for the restoration of the flat typology's roof, which is normally just utilized as shelter from the weather, into a social space that also plays a role in creating resources for life activities.

The socio idea is a roof that may be utilized for social activities such as a gathering spot, a children's playground, a hydroponic farming area, and even a chicken raising module.

Meanwhile, the Greenator concept aims to develop a use-value roof for resource regeneration in order to reduce reliance on artificial energy by maximizing the energy potential of wind, sunlight, and rainwater.

STONE-SIKE Niko Adiatmo's Belitung Overwater Bungalow
The house design, which adopts a metaphorical theme resembling granite boulders piled and dispersed randomly, is anticipated to improve the character of the Tanjung Kelayang beach emblem and aesthetically blend in with the surroundings.

Muhammad Reza Rasyid's BIOCLIMATIC HANGING GARDEN
A design idea that uses renewable energy as its main component and gives the rooftop a roomy, lovely tropical ambiance. A tropical-themed public garden with landscape features has been created in the Public Space, which is situated on the hotel balcony.

Rahmat Indrani's book ONE ROOF HOUSE
This idea makes it possible to build multiple homes under one roof, resulting in a community setting, with a roof space on a high tor. This communal housing with a single roof makes development more affordable, enables the creation of elaborate common areas, and fosters social interaction.

Alfian Reza Almadjid carries the idea of RETROFITTING BUILDING WITH ROOFTOP FARMING in the context of Batam, a coastal city with scorching air temperatures and a rapid and unorganized degree of development that makes green area increasingly scarce.
The WTB or Welcome To Batam building is the object of Alfian's attempt to apply this idea. WTB is a public space in the Batam Center neighborhood that serves as the preferred gathering spot for Batam residents. Yet, this place is only crowded in the morning/evening because of the dry and hot temperatures.
By incorporating features and roof layouts that assist activities in the WTB region, the existing structure is made more useful. To support the functions of urban farming and a food market on the ground level, a number of sustainability principles have been sought to be applied to the roof. As a result, the roof has a structure with terraced planter boxes and a canopy in the center that acts as a shade and may collect solar and water energy.
The end product is a Farm & Food Market structure that can not only help the local population and tourists visiting the WTB area, but also the environment.
