The beginning
One day a bunch of indonesians and people from all over the world realised that there is something missing in Jogjakarta. A stage for Spoken Word Artists who want to present their own written texts in front of a curious audience. So in October 2018 this bunch of people first met to put the Pilot Poetry Open Mic together. They had a vision of creating a community of artists. A space to share, learn and develop the art of writing and spoken word. The pilot event on the 20th of October in the ViaVia Resto was an amazing experience and at this evening it was decided. Decided that this is going to be a monthly thing under the name UNVEILED.
At the upcoming UNVEILED events all spoken word lovers are welcome. For reading or just for listening, whatever you prefer! We always will have guests at our events but also time for spontaneous artists who want to come to the stage during the open mic at the end. We, the team, are excited to go on this journey with you!
