✨Monday is always a busy start to the week in the schools . our freshly prepared soup, paninis , wraps and hot lunches :Pasta carbonara and chicken casserole served with rice went down a treat for the girls 👌Always working on healthy options we also have yoghurt , fresh fruit and breakfast bars available ❣️

After another busy year we’d like to thank all of our customers… old and new.. that have supported us throughout the past 12 months.. whether it was in our school canteens, our outside catering service, our Christmas Fayre or just picking up our brown bread.. we are very grateful for each and everyone of you.. 1 week down already.. hard to believe… great to be back with the girls.. the canteen is flying and we’ve loads of wholesome healthy dishes. We also have a credit card facility now too.. 😊

A Slice of Life was established in 1993 by sisters Elaine and Leigh Denby, born out of a love of cooking with our mother in our family B&B, Shelmalier House in Athlone. And so, our interest in all things food as young girls became an integral part of our lives as sisters.

Over 25 years later, we are as passionate now as we were then about good food made with love.

At A Slice of Life everything is done by hand, from the chopping of the veg to the mashing of the potatoes to the making of the dough and the finishing of our fabulous cakes. We make all our food in small batches, because it tastes better that way, and we package and label everything by hand.

We are proud to support a number of local suppliers who provide us with the highest quality produce. Our eggs from a local free range producer and most of our fruit and vegetables come from our garden.
